    Just curious . . . there seems to be a lot of support for Neto to overtake Hayden Connor at guard. That may have already happened but nonetheless, there are cheers about this. IMO, Hayden Connor was sound on the OL and has lots of real time experience. Neto is developing and that in itself, at Texas, is a big thing. I don't care which one wins the job, I just want it to be the player who did the best. Just curious why people seemed anxious to get Connor out of there.

    I have high hopes for Bledsoe. A friend of mine who watched practices last year said that at times, he was unblockable. He said all he needed was a little more weight and some consistency.

    I was going to say, I thought we recruited him pretty hard. Sounds like our opinion of him has changed, perhaps due to what you just pointed out.

    Who are the misses? We don't blanket recruit Louisiana. We pick one, two or three maybe kids we like and go after them. Bo Davis is largely responsible for that in the past.

    Yes, and they wanted Melvin Hills badly. We've done alright for ourselves over there.

    It's easy to look good with a healthy Jayden Daniels. Even then, they weren't much of a factor in the conference title race.

    We've been able to take what we want out of Louisiana pretty much. Right under Kelly's nose. Kelly really isn't a good fit there.

    I think both Wisner and Red will be given their shots. About mid-season, I think you might see less of one or the other and one of the frosh get those reps. I'm interested in seeing more of Wisner. He showed some spark late last year.

    Yes, I have a cousin-in-law who is. a Tech grad. It doesn't matter who they play, he always posts Longhorn bashing on FB. Its really pretty ridiculous. I keep telling him the inferiority complex is showing. lol But no, I could never pull for Tech . . unless it was against ou or aggy. I really didn't have much disdain for any of the others, except Baylor Rape U. As for your last question, . . . it depends. I think some would get behind us but others will just be hoping we get embarrassed on the national stage. When Vince played, I think we had a lot of conference bandwagon fans. VY was a very likable guy and people looked up to him.

    Well, it's really not a beauty contest. It's who can get it done or who can't. I think Butler can get it done. And we'll all be happy. Heck Jaden Alexis had speed, but couldn't get it done. That's just one man's opinion. Nothing more, nothing less.
