    Being from a very small town in Texas myself, I beg to differ. I could not wait to get out of the country and see what's out there. And the chicks, too. I don't think athletes care what the town politics are as long as it doesn't affect them. Nobody cares how liberal Austin is. Nobody cares how conservative dead dog town is.

    I remember 49-0. Do you remember the other two years' scores? I don't either. I don't think the first year was a fair representation of what's being said here. We're simply not that team anymore, thank God. Mack routinely put together top 10 classes and routinely finished ranked #15. OU doesn't recruit their needs very well.

    You left out ou sucks. Disappointing season because of defensive minded head coach. Lost bowl game. Has an unproven QB who didn't exactly strike fear into anyone during spring game. Defensive minded head coach has no real answer on offense. I would imagine any recruit of theirs has to see that.

    Agree. II'm not sure Lacey was all in, even though he did recruit for us some. But he was contemplating visits to other places not so long ago.

    That's a tough one to ask of people when they know he got away with murder. It was wrong. It was injustice. And you don't let go of that because you now know it can and probably will happen again. The sheer brutality of the murders were such that it pointed to the person who would have reason to be THAT mad. And before anything got started, OJ basically admitted guilt with his runaway bronco. If you're innocent, you don't run. Good riddance.

    The Lakers with Magic, Kareem, Worthy, etc., were pretty decent, too.

    Just curious . . . there seems to be a lot of support for Neto to overtake Hayden Connor at guard. That may have already happened but nonetheless, there are cheers about this. IMO, Hayden Connor was sound on the OL and has lots of real time experience. Neto is developing and that in itself, at Texas, is a big thing. I don't care which one wins the job, I just want it to be the player who did the best. Just curious why people seemed anxious to get Connor out of there.

    I have high hopes for Bledsoe. A friend of mine who watched practices last year said that at times, he was unblockable. He said all he needed was a little more weight and some consistency.

    A friend of mine who see practices told me last fall that there are times when Bledsoe is unblockable. He said his weight was the only thing holding him up.
