  1. Flores missed a home run by a few feet. A drive to left died on the warning track, where Walker made the catch.
  2. Ferazzi has retired six in a row since coming out of the HCU bullpen.
  3. Texas has a 7-1 lead in the bottom of the seventh. Flores comes up with the bases empty and two outs.
  4. Hamilton makes quick work of the Huskies in the seventh. A 10-pitch inning puts the Longhorns six outs away from advancing into the winner's bracket.
  5. Laxton, lined up in shallow right, takes away a base hit from Belyeu. He's retired on a 4-3 groundout in a 1-2-3 sixth for the Huskies.
  6. It would be nice to see Belyeu get back on track with two outs in the sixth.
  7. FWIW, I submitted by final ballot this week for NCBWA All-America team and the Dick Howser Trophy. I gave Rylan Galvan my first-place vote for the Howser.
  8. I'm trying to post highlights, but Twitter isn't cooperating right now.
  9. Ferazzi is back out to face the top of the Texas order.
  10. FWIW, Luke Bard, HCU's catcher, is the son of former Red Raider and 10-year MLB veteran Josh Bard.
  11. Laxton looks at strike three. Hamilton is pumped coming off the mound. He ends the inning with a six-run lead still intact for the Longhorns.
  12. Hamilton catches Bard taking too big of a lead from third. The pickoff results in the second out of the inning.
  13. Hamilton walks Halligan. The bases are loaded with one out for the Huskies, who and bringing Laxton to the plate.
  14. Hudson Hamilton inherits runners on first and second with one out.
  15. Saunier allows a single through the left side and that'll do it for him today.
  16. In other news, Texas A&M just announced baseball coach Michael Earley will return for the 2026 season.
  17. I think Hudson Hamilton is the man up in the Texas bullpen.
  18. Jonah Williams is done for the day. Tommy Farmer is in the game as a defensive replacement in left field in the top of the sixth.
  19. It's a five-run, six-hit fifth for the Longhorns.
  20. That's how a lot of midweek games against this type of opponent can go.
  21. Dukta made a pretty bad read on Jonah's fly ball to left-center, but he tracked it down, making a sliding catch on the warning track to end the inning.
