  1. What rules? Its the Wild West out there.
  2. Coleman because he is the better player in Arch's final year.
  3. I know its silly to say, "forget about the money," but Texas just needs to figure out how to make it happen. We continuously hear they are the richest athletic department in the country. They should leave absolutely nothing up for debate this season. If guys just don't want to come here, fine, but give the best offers to the Cam Colemans, Ryan Williams, and Jayden Baughs of the world.
  4. A significant gap in terms of NIL, playing time, or both>
  5. Its either going to be a fire sale or they are going to get a better QB. All eyes on Baugh, though.
  6. An elite tailback would COMPLETELY change this offense. Keeps the defense honest and takes some pressure off of Arch. Of course, a lot of the eliteness of a back comes from the offensive line, which Sark and company knows. I really think they are going to go nuts in the portal.
  7. Wasn't as high on him as others, but would have been great to have. Hope this motivates the team to go hard in the portal. Would rather an experienced pass catcher anyways (I am just justifying because I am dead inside).
  8. I don't think Texas is going to be bashful this go-around. This level of aggressiveness tells me they can accomplish both (and all) of their goals.
  9. same rates I believe.
  10. Thank the Lord. I could only lie and say I liked DirecTV Stream for so long....
  11. We aren't "TV nuts" but we enjoy watching our fair share. Switched from Cable to YTTV. With the Disney dispute, currently doing a 5-day trial for DirecTV Stream. Its not perfect, I think the user interface is slow as anything. Its just as expensive as YTTV, and even more if you get the Choice plan to get all the conference network stations. With that said, it has a great picture and is the closest thing you will find to cable. Even with the added price of DirecTV stream and my wifi package, I am still saving about $70 a month compared to what I was paying previously.
  12. Disagree. #1 is the most likely. I don't know if someone would listen to Sark's wife or Texas BMDs and use it as a legitimate source, especially senior NFL reporters.
  13. Take the victory lap. You have earned it, my friend.
  14. This is absolutely true. I think the argument, if there is one, is that playing Arch last year could have been a net wash, meaning you don't win any more games or lose any more games because of him, and he is better prepared coming into this season. I get why people make this argument, I don't agree with it, but I get it.
  15. Unrealistic and unfair expectations for Arch. People expected him to win the Heisman, lead the Longhorns to the National Championship, then go #1 overall to the Saints next year and be Drew Brees 2.0. Fact is Arch is a very talented kid on a very talented team that will win most of their games, but struggle because they are young. Arch is no exception to that. He looked better than he did last year, and will probably look better next week than he did this week. Its the pattern. He is going to be a completely different quarterback in two months. Regarding Quinn, absolutely under-appreciated. The Horns don't ascend to where they are now without him. You could make the argument that with Cedric Baxter last year (or perhaps Jonathan Brooks the year before), they could have gone all the way. Additionally, look at the redzone issues that have plagued this team for years. Can't blame those all on Quinn when we saw the exact same stuff last week. Quinn is the first big recruit I ever followed and has a very special place in my Longhorn fandom.
  16. Ger-Bear, don't do us like that.
  17. Quinn holds a special place in my heart. He was the first major recruit I ever really followed. He also brought this program out from a very dark place. He wasn't the perfect QB, but he is an all-time Horn.
  18. Its nuts. I initially cut the cord to save money, then I switched from DirecTV Stream to YTTV to save money. YoutubeTV has turned stupid expensive.
  19. I did a 7-day (I think) free trial of DirecTV Stream. There wasn't anything really wrong with it. I just felt like the interface was easier to use on YTTV. DirecTV Stream had way more channels. People say the video quality is slightly better than YTTV. Its obviously more expensive, but will hold you over until the dispute is over. People see the DirecTV name and get spooked, but the streaming platform is honestly really good. It has regional sports and some other niche channels I used to watch when I still had cable. I would recommend it if you watch a decent amount of TV.
  20. Congrats, boys. Very well deserved.
  21. I wouldn't read that deep into it. I don't think its about the schools that we are perceiving they are disrespecting, its more about themselves and the schools they are committing too. Is it a bit narcissistic? Yeah, but we are also talking about 17 year olds.
  22. Disagree a bit on the credit card comment, although I agree with the general premise. Credit card debt is some of the worst debt to have and if you don't have the money to get something, don't put it on a credit card and think about it later. With that said, I would argue that if you're paying off your credit card every month, get a couple of them and be sure to look at the rewards that follow it. I have a Jet Blue Mastercard for travel benefits, an AMEX Blue Preferred for groceries, streaming, and gas, and then Amazon Prime Visa for Whole Foods/Amazon. It saves me hundreds, if not thousands of dollars a year. So long as you're not accumulating debt on cards, I advise doing research on where you can save some serious dough.
  23. I work in the financial world and unless you're making millions with tons of expenses, a financial advisor or family office to manage your finances is kind of a waste of money. I make very good money and just put everything into an excel spreadsheet. Put your income, your expenses in buckets, then figure out your variance. If you have certain financial goals, cross reference those goals with how much your making/spending. Just my two cents, though. If you want to pay someone to tell you how much you should be saving, spending, et al, go nuts. Not sure there is necessarily a wrong answers, its more so just what works for you.
