  1. Take the victory lap. You have earned it, my friend.
  2. This is absolutely true. I think the argument, if there is one, is that playing Arch last year could have been a net wash, meaning you don't win any more games or lose any more games because of him, and he is better prepared coming into this season. I get why people make this argument, I don't agree with it, but I get it.
  3. Unrealistic and unfair expectations for Arch. People expected him to win the Heisman, lead the Longhorns to the National Championship, then go #1 overall to the Saints next year and be Drew Brees 2.0. Fact is Arch is a very talented kid on a very talented team that will win most of their games, but struggle because they are young. Arch is no exception to that. He looked better than he did last year, and will probably look better next week than he did this week. Its the pattern. He is going to be a completely different quarterback in two months. Regarding Quinn, absolutely under-appreciated. The Horns don't ascend to where they are now without him. You could make the argument that with Cedric Baxter last year (or perhaps Jonathan Brooks the year before), they could have gone all the way. Additionally, look at the redzone issues that have plagued this team for years. Can't blame those all on Quinn when we saw the exact same stuff last week. Quinn is the first big recruit I ever followed and has a very special place in my Longhorn fandom.
  4. Ger-Bear, don't do us like that.
  5. Quinn holds a special place in my heart. He was the first major recruit I ever really followed. He also brought this program out from a very dark place. He wasn't the perfect QB, but he is an all-time Horn.
  6. Its nuts. I initially cut the cord to save money, then I switched from DirecTV Stream to YTTV to save money. YoutubeTV has turned stupid expensive.
  7. I did a 7-day (I think) free trial of DirecTV Stream. There wasn't anything really wrong with it. I just felt like the interface was easier to use on YTTV. DirecTV Stream had way more channels. People say the video quality is slightly better than YTTV. Its obviously more expensive, but will hold you over until the dispute is over. People see the DirecTV name and get spooked, but the streaming platform is honestly really good. It has regional sports and some other niche channels I used to watch when I still had cable. I would recommend it if you watch a decent amount of TV.
  8. Congrats, boys. Very well deserved.
  9. I wouldn't read that deep into it. I don't think its about the schools that we are perceiving they are disrespecting, its more about themselves and the schools they are committing too. Is it a bit narcissistic? Yeah, but we are also talking about 17 year olds.
  10. Disagree a bit on the credit card comment, although I agree with the general premise. Credit card debt is some of the worst debt to have and if you don't have the money to get something, don't put it on a credit card and think about it later. With that said, I would argue that if you're paying off your credit card every month, get a couple of them and be sure to look at the rewards that follow it. I have a Jet Blue Mastercard for travel benefits, an AMEX Blue Preferred for groceries, streaming, and gas, and then Amazon Prime Visa for Whole Foods/Amazon. It saves me hundreds, if not thousands of dollars a year. So long as you're not accumulating debt on cards, I advise doing research on where you can save some serious dough.
  11. I work in the financial world and unless you're making millions with tons of expenses, a financial advisor or family office to manage your finances is kind of a waste of money. I make very good money and just put everything into an excel spreadsheet. Put your income, your expenses in buckets, then figure out your variance. If you have certain financial goals, cross reference those goals with how much your making/spending. Just my two cents, though. If you want to pay someone to tell you how much you should be saving, spending, et al, go nuts. Not sure there is necessarily a wrong answers, its more so just what works for you.
  12. "Buddy," again, they had long stretches of going hitless and it was clear this wasn't the same team once they lost Spencer. They had decent stretches but they didnt have enough arms. It was pretty clear to me .
  13. Texas has had subpar pitching pretty much all season, and a huge tendency for the bats to go silent for large stretches. What are YOU talking?
  14. Something we have talked about ALL SEASON. Situation hitting and more from the bullpen is what separates national champions with the rest of the bunch. Up until this point, those two issues have plagued Texas for the majority of the season. I am not holding my breath that they will suddenly figure it out this deep in the season, but I do think they can pull off a little winning streak here and advance. They are clearly the best team of the bunch, they just dug themselves a good hole.
  15. Gotta be super patient with it. I put the heat really low and let it sit there for awhile. Gotta get the pellets rolling. I also had this issue when I first got it. One of the pellets somehow got stuck in there so I had to move them all around. Eventually I just kept cycling until it started to smoke like crazy. IMO, Traegers may not really be worth it. Just a personal preference.
  16. Kinda weird Poirier is fighting for the BMF Title when its his retirement fight
  17. This is what I am here for!
  18. Got a Traeger Pro. Not sure the model number, she is a medium size girl. I could never figure out how to use the app to check the internal temp. But pellet smoking is great. Very easy and the meat turns out great if you have the patience. I wouldn't start off with a brisket, I would go after an easier cut.
  19. It was obviously deserved. They need to figure out their pitching situation and could use a bit more timely hitting. Stinks they are hitting a rut towards the end of the season, though.
  20. Just being completely honest here. OTF is my primary source for all information that I get. Secondarily, I have subs to both IT and OB. They may have more writers and content, but the quality of content just isn't the same as OTF. Glad I am here and don't plan on leaving ever.
  21. My pleasure to keep supporting y'all. I have been here since Day One, y'all are the absolute best in the business.
  22. I find it interesting how many people are writing off the Ohio State game as an immediate loss. They aren't returning basically anyone and, while they have retooled, its an entirely new group playing together in the first game of the season against a team that will be competing for a National Championship. Maybe I am just being naive, but I have Texas going 11-1. A&M will go 8-4 like they do every year. Give me OU going 6-6.
  23. Unless explicitly told not to by moderators, I will post whatever I like, but appreciate your post!
