  1. Agreed. And I think calling @ Florida a top 3 hardest game of their schedule shows where they are at as a program. Nobody should scare them. Maybe Reed progresses like crazy next year and A&M is really good. Or maybe Stockton becomes the next hottest thing at Georgia. But right now, that schedule looks very favorable for Texas.
  2. "way harder" is a wild exaggeration. @ Ohio State v. San Jose State v. UTEP v. Sam Houston @ Florida v. Oklahoma @ Kentucky @ Mississippi State v. Vanderbilt @ Georgia v. Arkansas v. A&M ....Where do you see three losses? At worst, they should be 10-2 with only 1 in-conference loss, which has them right back in the SEC Championship game next year.
  3. I think he is getting close after last game. If he has a great game and beats OSU, I bet he sneaks into the first round. If they win the whole dang thing, you can bet he is a first rounder.
  4. I would love the move if for nothing else to snag a guy from A&M. With that said, I would ideally like a burner more, unless they are taking more than one guy out of the portaI
  5. This stinks because I loved his story. He was locked into Texas for a long time and his commitment video that he made with Roach was awesome. I truly felt good for the kid went he committed to Texas. But he is clearly getting some terrible (or none) advice. Sometimes your mouth writes checks your actions can't cash. Looks like we are heading that way. But hey, have fun in Washington.
  6. Minus, you know, the proven track record of absolutely balling out in college and the NFL.
  7. Don't you dare disrespect the Pop Tarts Bowl like that.
  8. Good write-up, CJ. I understand people thinking this was simply just bad football, but Texas played the winner of the ACC in the first round of the playoffs. In a vacuum, that should be a really good matchup. More than anything, you can make the argument that this just shows the difference in conferences. I expect more of the same in that regard next round, i.e. ASU, Boise State, et al.
  9. Congratulations on contributing to Texas' (or whoever's) NIL, that must make your opinion somehow more important than mine. Again, I will choose not to root against kids that are trying to make money. Thats called capitalism, isn't that how you became so wildly successful that you were able to be involved so deeply in NIL? I agree, the NIL stuff is getting ridiculous, but this isn't the first time siblings tried to do something as a package deal. Furthermore, Zachariah Branch, at least in my opinion, is a rare talent that just hasn't reached his full potential yet. Honestly, the same can be said about his brother, albeit to a lesser degree because he isn't as talented.
  10. I don't root against any kids, especially if he is just trying to make sure his brother is taken care of. He is doing what he thinks is best and its the opposite of being selfish, which I kind of respect. Some team will do exactly what he is asking for, and if he decides to go there, so be it. Would love to have him in burnt orange next season, he is a great developmental talent.
  11. Eric Singleton over Zachariah Branch if they only take one receiver in the portal?
  12. Wait a minute, you have lunch at 2:35?
  13. probably true. i just don't think they should limit themselves to only getting established veterans. Would be kind of cool to get Micah Hudson and watch him ball out for more than a year.
  14. You're not wrong. They have also gone after Agiye Hall and Amari Niblack though. May not be apples to apples, and perhaps they have learned from those lessons. Who knows.
  15. Aside from the family connection, Tech never made sense for him. Always seemed like a SEC player. Honestly, kind of gives me Matthew Golden vibes as a guy that always should have came here, maybe he makes it right in the end.
  16. Its always like that, revisionist history. Thats why, while its overused, waiting and pouncing on your opportunity when it is presented is a real thing.
  17. in no way, shape, or form does it benefit us to lose to the Aggies. Not only does it hurt recruiting, but it hurts the team this year too in their hopes in making the playoffs. I don't care about an extra week off, personally. it means nothing if you don't win.
  18. I don't see a world where Arch waits another year to be starter, seeing as he has already shown some serious flashes this season. I also don't see a world where Sark lets Arch walk.
  19. Kinda shows how great Quinn and the rest of that offense was on the road against the defending champs. Say what you want about Michigan, but I still think that defense is very legit.
  20. I dont overly care. If texas handles their business, it doesn't matter what number is next to their name until January.
  21. Well, well, well.
  22. Not saying I am surprised, just disappointed. Just stating what I saw.
  23. Against ULM? Better than what we saw.
  24. I may get crap for this, but I think the offense was pretty average tonight. Maybe even below average. The run game struggled but has picked it up in the second half. The passing game has been pretty flat since the close of the first half. A bit of a disappointing performance. The defense has been fantastic.
