    I’ve said for a couple of weeks now that the Horns will use football to their advantage all season long. This weekend was no different. Texas hosted SEVEN kids this weekend, including some top out of state talent. We’ve seen it already pay off when they landed Georgia infielder Reiston Durham. Perfect Game graded Durham a 9 (out of 10), which means they feel like he has the talent to be a top 10 round pick in the MLB Draft and/or a major contributor at the collegiate level. That’s the only commitment the Longhorns have landed publicly. Behind the scenes, however, I can promise you that Schloss and his staff hit a grand slam this weekend. Things went very well. They aren’t done yet when it comes to commitments.
