  1. Some talking head (I think Klatt?) recently made an excellent point about why the leadership in college football has a very hard time making long term decisions. Basically all the key players are holding temporary positions… ADs, commissioners, coaches… none of them are guaranteed to keep their job for a decade, let alone a few years. Whereas in the NFL it’s the team owners who make the big decisions. They can stay as long as they want, and hence have more at stake in the long term, and care more about the sport as a whole. It’s essentially “renters” in charge in college versus “owners” in the NFL. The renters are motivated to optimize their results in the short time they’re there, so they’ll always prioritize their own selfish needs, and see no reason to sacrifice their own advantages for the betterment of the entire sport.
  2. All of Texas’ opponents: “yes”
  3. I thought Moore might have accidentally touched the ball as it came down, and that’s why he went back to get it and run it out. You’re probably right about the plan, but he decided too late to let it bounce and couldn’t get out of the way quickly enough.
  4. I think Georgia. Better for us to beat them when they’re ranked in the top 5, and they wouldn’t threaten our chances of getting in the SEC championship either way.
  5. “Why don’t you teach your guys how to get sacks while being choked from behind?” -Bohls
  6. You were right. I was wrong. Didn’t realize the refs were going to join Vandy and our DBs were going to fall asleep
  7. We’re up by 3 scores. Four minutes left. Game locked at this point. His neck is hurting and he had a concussion one week ago. Leaving Arch in is a risk with no reward
  8. Arch deserves a standing ovation. Time for Caldwell
  9. Time for Wisner and Baxter to put Vandy to bed
  10. Sark looking happier than he’s been in a while
  11. I saw Wingo, McCutcheon, and then Mosley looked injured right before the half. All WRs
