  1. Ok I am new here. Who the F are you, and what part of your resume makes you such an expert?
  2. This post received some reaction so I will explain my mission. I was Roosevelt’s HS baseball coach in Brenham (LF on a state championship team), and he and I moved to Austin at the same time. We are close friends, but friendship is not why I have a mission. I believe Leaks is worthy of a statue or at least some recognition equal to a number (46) placed somewhere if not retired. Roosevelt was UT’s first Black All-American football player, and if he had not been foolishly required to do a full contact goal line drill the spring before his senior year, he almost certainly would have been UT’s first Heisman Trophy winner. He finished 3rd in the voting his junior year. He was a great college running back (fullback in the wishbone), and he persevered through racism from some of his teammates during his early time at UT. If there had not been a Leaks at Texas, there likely would not have been a Campbell. I wrote CDC twice about what I believe is a lack of sufficient and proper recognition, and I received no response whatsoever either time. Disappointing to a guy on a mission.
  3. Roosevelt Leaks. I am on a mission.
  4. Don’t forget Lockett when considering the WR rotation.
  5. I heard Burton say Wingo has not signed. I hope there is no cause for worry. Has Lockett signed?
  6. I see statements like this all the time. If the player wants to take all his visits, how do they “close?” Lock the player in a room?
  7. I agree wholeheartedly. In addition, I do not know how or why they do not explode when they read all the negative bs being posted by some frontrunners who think they know more than Sark, Burton, and Hamilton combined. Thank you moderators.
  8. Ok, I missed this info about not re-engaging with Barnes. The last thing I read was about Muschamp’s call which seeming was reeling him back in. I truly do not understand Barnes’ final thinking/decision unless it was based on money and nothing else. To me, he had starter potential and was a player the coaches would not want to lose. If he overestimated his NIL value, I do understand that.
  9. If true, this is one I truly do not understand. Two LB starters are gone, and a starting role is right there for him if he works hard and continues to improve. ETA: I have no idea about money issues, and if Burton says he is 3rd string, ok. To me it is one more example of current athletes expecting instant gratification and leaving if waiting one’s turn and developing is expected. i know, I am old and coached in a far different era. I thought Barnes had lots of promise, but what do I know.
  10. Your posts are f’ing terrible. Aggy trolling no doubt.
