  1. I spent 30 days at a Longhorn ranch a couple of years ago. It was there that I realized what "horns down" really means. If one of those bad boys suddenly bends his head down and shakes the horns, it's time to give him some space. Trust me people, a Longhorn staring at you with his horns up is way safer than one with his horns down. He's warning you. So keep throwing those "horns down" signs. People in the know are laughing at you!
  2. Yea, that was a bad title I read. It literally said the injury wasn't serious. Then, the article simply described him getting helped off by 2 trainers and then quoted a coaches saying they didn't have enough information to comment yet. That's a far cry from the injury not being serious.
  3. Uh oh. They are replacing both starting DTs from last year anyway. This dude was a 5 star. Good luck young man! Heal fast (just wait until week 2 please) EDIT: I just read (from a headline of a different article) the injury is not serious. EDIT (of the edit): The headline said it wasn't serious but all the article provided was the coach said he doesn't have any information yet. I hate headlines sometimes.
  4. Caleb Williams Mocks TCU's QB for crying after a loss. One year later, he's not only crying after a loss, but he's crying in his mommy's arms. What a hypocrite. I have no problem with crying after a loss............until you start mocking others for it.
  5. I feel most sites underrate (not underappreciate) Wisner. The SEC leading rusher wasn't supposed to start and wasn't ready with the requisite body armor. Imagine how good he's going to be with it. I think he's our starter and stays our starter (with many more relief pitchers ready to spell him)
  6. CJ, You owe me a new pair of underwear.
  7. Wes Huff (amazing biblical scholar) Joe Rogan (if the guest interests me), Flagrant (if the guest interests me) Various Christian podcasts (Bill Johnson especially). National sports stuff is still stuck in the formulaic, legacy-media style format which just absolutely bores me to death (can't stand listening to folks speaking in sound bytes......especially when they've done it for so long that they don't realize they are doing it.............it's like watching zombies walk) In this new age of media, authenticity is currency. That's why long-form podcasts are a hit (you can't fake it for 3 hours). I sense authenticity from Bobby so that's why I chose OTF as my lone sports source (I'm only a fan of the Longhorns.......no other teams, pro or college, interest me)
  8. Bobby, Does this essentially cause a wave of "renegotiations" with kids already verbally committed?
  9. It can't hurt but, given we're going against Oregon, it doesn't help either. Money is no object to either school.
  10. Ketch looks like he smells bad.
  11. Staff: Most cycles, it seems like a head coach event at another school (retirement, firing, promotion, hot seat) really benefits Texas via decommitments. Mario Cristobal leaving Oregon in 21, Saban retiring, the '25 Florida class, etc. Which schools' recruits might Texas really need to hang around the rim for this year? I ask because we have been #2 so often with elite recruits this cycle.
  12. Oh, you messed with the wrong mod. I disagree 100%. I love listening to Rod's stories...........and it's not like he's just going to down memory road on a joy ride. He uses his past experiences to provide insight into the current team and culture. People should cherish Rod B. I know I do.
  13. During the "watch with us" game time show: Every once in a while give a game time clock countdown so we can synch up. For example: "It's the first quarter at 1:53, 1:52, 1:51, 1:50." I love listening to you guys live with the game sound muted but I hate hearing a big play 2 seconds before I see it. LOL
  14. Exactly. We basically got three 5 stars WRs last year (Locket, French, Terry) and must allocate resources to keep them......not replace them. I love the two WRs we got this cycle. Both have fantastic attitudes and seem to have what it takes to be patient and wait their turn (this is exactly what you need the year after three 5 stars arrive) In Sark I trust.
