  1. You don't give up home games. And Tex/UO HAS to be in Dallas, period. No negotiations.
  2. Totally agree. Too early.
  3. Four of us in the dorm drew tickets together for the 1966 TCU game. Henry was an amateur photographer with a great telephoto lense. He got this Pic of Chris Gilbert on his 96 yd TD run. He gave me a print of it. I went over to Moore Hill Dorm, found Chris, got him to autograph it. He was so kind to do it and said he'd never seen that angle. Lordy, he was so good and a thrill to watch.
  4. Thanks Rocky. Also, I appreciate your questions/comments on the live shows. An the hats, especially Jordan's, are kickass!
  5. Somebody help me. I believe 26 UT players put their names in the portal this year and were there when it closed. Did any of them fail to find a landing place with another program?
  6. Ags lost Hill because they spelled his first name Aunt.
  7. All very subjective, of course.
  8. @Bobby Burton @Gerry Hamilton @Rod Babers Following up on your State of the Team podcast this afternoon, I was right there with you guys on grading the Transfer class as B++. I took it a step farther in getting a weighted average for returning team, net transfers, incoming frosh and coaching.
  9. Quick thought without total in-depth scrutiny: Make all student athletes employees of the NCAA, with requirement that they be enrolled at a member university, carry min of 12 hour per semester, making progress toward a degree. Set pay based on university generated media revenue. Then member institutions can add true NIL money opportunities.
  10. His parents are moving to Miami area.
  11. I became a Texas fan at 10 years old while watching, on b&w tv, Texas handle undefeated aTm with Heisman RB John David Crow. Nov 1957. So I claim to be a Lifetime Longhorn as a 78 year old grad and fan. Move over you one and done LTLLs!

Fan for 68 years, 1 month, 17 days ... and counting.

    Jim, BBA 1969

  12. I'm all sedated from an MRI. THIS TEXAS class looks superb. All in!

  13. I am for a well paid 65 scholly athlete roster for football. Then a 50 person mix low-paid ($200/mo ??) scholly and walk-on JV/Development squad for development and injury "call-up" availability. Also, let this latter group play 5 games vs other similar DI squads or JUCOs or full DII teams.
  14. Thanks for posting all these board comments from Bama fans. Hilarious in context of Sun at 4:30ish PM.
  15. If Sark has the gonads to let go of a solid Grade B DC, Venables and Elko should step up and replace Grade B QBs if they are serious in 2026. I hope they don't. Unless they both want to keep Grade B offenses. Or maybe switch to the Wishbone.
  16. Seems to me the only reason Texas should play big non-conference games is if they received special revenue for it. I never understood a conference getting member media rights for non-conf games. Let each school make their own deals for those games. That way schools could have a reason to schedule big games. Why should Vandy or South Carolina or Arkansas, for instance, benefit from Texas playing Buckeyes or Wolverines or Irish or Trojans or Nittany Lions?
  17. A&M Lubbock means nothing to me.
  18. None.
  19. That was "pre Jerry." He ain't pretty at all.
  20. 😂😂😂
  21. Pretty dang good list. I'm still old school Cowboy fan (pretty Jerry) so sometimes my gut cheers for boys. Then I think for Jerry Hog Thinks-he's-a-football-genious.
  22. I may be considered a poor sport but I hope the Sooners and Farmers each lose significantly in the first round of CFP. It's bad enough that they flaunt their CFP appearances to us Horns, but first round wins would hurt. Ags losing to Miami is rough for me because Miami is way up on my "can't stand them" list. Anyone else feel same? Jim
  23. I'm for the top 16, irregardless of conference champions. And a rework of the committee.
