I have rarely seen Arch show true fire in the belly leadership. I suppose looking for "rally round me, boys" leadership like we saw from Major, VY, Colt and Sam is too much to expect. It doesn't seem to be in Arch's personality.

Sorta agree, but every team in the SEC is messy right now. A 3 conf loss team might make championship.

If a FB player completes 4 yrs of eligibility this season/term and graduates, can he work on a second undergrad degree to play yr 5 or must he be a grad student? If you respond, deferentiate between speculation and definitely knowing. Thank you.

I am wondering if Sark is really the play calling savant he's supposed to be. Seems to me he isn't optimizing Arch's ability as much as forcing the style Sark wants. Perhaps he needs to adapt more to Arch's strength. Arch also doesn't seem quite as talented as we hoped. He's very good but not superb in the passing game. Arch can lead this team to 12-0 if Sark plays a bit more to his best playing style - moving and throwing.

Cannot imagine Arch putting in for the 2027 NFL Draft if Cleveland gets the top pick. Why risk getting picked by Browns and getting stuck in a quarterback Purgatory? Just stay at Texas another year.

@Bobby Burton spending waaaaayy too much time on C&F on The Sand Aggie Preservation Bill. Over and over and over. Not that I disagree in general, it's just wearing me down. Please let UT brass and SEC Sankey do what they are paid for. Oh. Not mentioned enough is Cody got sway because he is huge contributor to DJT and Cruz. And how did shotty Sen Schmitt from MO in into the action? Don't answer that one.

On C&F this morning @Gerry Hamilton said at SEC Media Days he'd ask Arch (something like) to compare this year's team by position group to last year's. Bobby was solidly against asking the question. I agree with Gerry bc 1. Someone will ask. Might as well be "friendly" media. A fully legit question. 2. If Arch handles it right, IMO, he'll go this route: "I can only compare this team, right now, to last year's team at the same time." Then compare by referring to wide receiver heslth last year; OL limited in experience; Simmons & Jackson more ecperienced; RBs LY had more UT exp than this year's group; however, this year's RB with better overall exp; a one year experienced QB1; etc.

@Gerry Hamilton and @Rod Babers had fun ladt night on the Livestream talking about different RB combos for the longhorns, even if they didn't play at the same time. Lots of really good ones. For us old guys I present for consideration: Chris Gilbert, 3x 1000 yd rusher (10 game season). Speed, balance, bounce, eyes. Roosevelt Leaks, a preview of Earl Campbell; 342 yds rushing vs SMU. Brute strength, between tackles burst, speed.

My feeling, too. I tend to think Sark will question/challenge Muschamp staff changes but rubber stamp them.

I'm not panicked over LB recruiting. My question is more operational - how Nansen and Muschamp work together.

I wonder if Johnny Nansen will be UT LB coach after one season with Muschamp. Do their styles mesh?
