This is my understanding. And there's a clearinghouse that is supposed to approve the NIL deals and ensure that they are representative of actual value the player deserves for the marketing he's providing - is that right? Here's the thing though. If Arch turns it on and has a strong end to the season and is poised for a big year next year at Texas, there is no f-ing way Sarkisian is abandoning him and the Mannings to go coach the worst team in the NFL. No way. The value of the relationship with the Mannings is more valuable than whatever he gains by going to the NFL. Now, if Arch struggles and looks like he can’t be redeemed, then I could see Sark fleeing before his reputation takes a hit (if an NFL team would even hire him which is questionable).
