Per Dr. Googs- The ability to walk off the field fine after a hyperextension or awkward bend strongly suggests the injury is likely a mild ligament strain (Grade 1) or a meniscus tear, rather than a complete ligament rupture. Complete tears of the ACL or PCL usually cause immediate, intense pain and a feeling of instability that makes normal walking very difficult or impossible right away. However, adrenaline can temporarily mask severe pain, and swelling often takes a few hours to develop and cause stiffness.
  6. My proctologist said the same thing. Why are they hiding this information?
  7. I just spoke to Dr. James Andrews and he said you can do the dougie after an ACL tear.
  8. Likely correct. Something was concerning enough to do further testing. Hopefully it’s an mcl sprain or a meniscus.
