Agreed! Yea I doubt Hill is here that long so that was wishful thinking lol. And yea this defensive picture would be for 2 years down the line because all of those guys I mentioned with the exception of Hill & Muhammad would be juniors & sophomores. The way we’re playing & developing, I don’t expect to have too many guys stay until their senior seasons if they’re starting & producing, with the exception being like you said injury or late bloomers.

I saw another book (I think BetOnline) had us as the favorites right now at +450.

Looking at who we have on the roster already & who we have coming in with the number 1 rated class, combined with the way the defense played this year, I think we have the makings of resembling Georgia’s dominant 2021 defense. I’m going to go out on a limb here & say we may have even more pieces to work with than Georgia had. Of course, the players will have to put in the work & develop, but that’s not as crazy as it may sound. Jordan Davis, Jalen Carter & Devonte Wyatt could easily be a combo of Alex January, Justus Terry, Myron Charles & Josiah Sharma. Nakobe Dean, Quay Walker & Channing Tindall could easily be Anthony Hill (if he stays until senior year), Tyanthony Smith & Bo Barnes. Nolan Smith & Travon Walker could easily be Colin Simmons & Lance Jackson (we’re better here). Kelee Ringo, Latavious Brini, Lewis Cine, Chris Smith & Tykee Smith could easily be Manny Muhammad (if he stays), Jelani McDonald/Derek Williams, Wardell Mack, Filsaime/Jonah Williams/Zelus Hicks, & Kobe Black. There are some big ifs in there in regards to development but there are also a ton of sure fire stars already. The future of the defense is very promising.

These are the guys I think could be drafted: Lole Collins Sorrell Helm Broughton Holmes Barron Mukuba Banks Cam Williams Blue Bond QE Golden Then a few who could get drafted: Conner Bolden Majors Campbell (if declares) Moore (if declares) That’s 19 draftable guys if they all head to the draft. I think we’re a lock to get 13-14 guys drafted as of today.

I get it but the thing with PFF grades is it’s not simply down to performance in terms of catches & yards. That factors in heavily to ratings but when Wingo was leading in rating at the time, he didn’t have more yards than Smith or Williams but was rated higher.

Sark strikes me as the type of guy to go for the natty with Texas after having brought the program back to elite status, rather than let someone else come in & get it done with his roster. I think after he wins a natty then those conversations might get interesting but until then I can’t see him leaving.

Yea they’re pretty hit or miss at those positions for sure. I thought the Wingo grade was really odd because earlier this year midway through the year he was the highest rated freshman receiver in the country.

PFF is great for grading certain positions better than others. Seeing Johntay rated higher than Wingo this year is laughable.

I agree. Now that we’re out, the staff should be able to focus on some guys to target. I’m not sure if the Wilson visit was ever confirmed but he was reportedly visiting. If Moore returns we may have cooled on that option tho.

Hey guys, just wanted to check in to see if there‘s been any movement with any of the guys in the portal we’ve shown interest in? I think it was reported both Emmanuel Pregnon & Jalon Walker had visited or planned on visiting.

He will run really well & he can point to the injury as the reason for his decline in production and play. Don’t think he will get drafted outside the top 3 rounds. Honestly, wish him the best & he was great for us when healthy. If he ever did want to come back for a prove it year, I would welcome him back.

Yea it’s tough to know how hurt Cam was playing. Unfortunately this season we had major injuries at almost every position on the offensive side of the ball.

Yea I’m saying that purely from a talent perspective the way we’ve stacked classes but I think it will all come together. We lost a ton of talent from last years team & this years team, though far from perfect, was a real good football team that was a few plays a way from being in the natty. I think Arch is more dynamic than Quinn & will give us an extra level of juice.

Yea I’m bullish on the defense because we have a freak in Simmons & other really good players who will be a year older. We’ve recruited really well so I have high hopes the defense can be top 5 again. I do agree with WR. I think Bond really can catch, he showed it early in the year (think Michigan game) but that ankle injury really nagged him most of the year. I think if healthy all year it goes much differently. But need another guy or 2 if Bond goes pro on the roster imo

Agreed. Really crazy they got away with a couple blatantly obvious no calls in positions right in front of the officials. Stings but Ohio State won that game. Props to them.

I mean there are numerous times when toss plays on the goal line work. Just not when your inside running threat isn’t there. Tried to catch them off guard, didn’t work. Bad call because it didn’t work. Didn’t end our season though.

Hindsight is 20/20. I hated that call as well. But sark remembers those 4 straight runs against OU last year when we got stopped & we got absolutely no push on 1st down. I wish we had done something else but that play didn’t lose us the game.
