  1. A&M definitely pitching be the guy, playing time wide open, etc. Our WR room is more crowded & will probably always be more crowded & talented with Sark here.
  2. This is definitely up there. Funniest one gotta be the Fergie one, pre nba all star game. When they caught everybody laughing on camera on national tv while she was singing. That video makes me laugh every single time 😂
  3. If he cancels that LSU visit we are so back
  4. It will be very interesting to see where all of this goes. Salary caps have always been implemented to promote parity & competition, but college football has never been like that. It’s been the haves & have nots. I actually don’t think adding a cap will help even things out because if money is equal, the big time programs still possess advantages over other ones. Still, I do believe a cap is necessary to prevent money just being thrown around & players being able to strong arm all their deals. But hey, if someone is willing to pay it then why not capitalize on it while you have the chance. NFL isn’t promised. We shall see how it goes.
  5. You know you’re not paying for a fortune teller right
  6. These threads are becoming a roller coaster of emotions in real time 😂 catching up late to a recruiting thread is a great read.
  7. Wilson is a stud. Has a tremendous amount of potential imo. I actually believe he’s right behind DK in terms of a prospect. Haven’t watched all the WR’s in this class but I have him ahead of all the other Texas targets.
  8. Yikes. This is not the message you wanna spread. Too many people & families affected by decisions like that.
  9. Would be a big win for a number of reasons. Biggest of which losing talented Texas kids to A&M.
  10. Having the Manning family brand as part of the Texas brand is great 🤘🏼
  11. If he can maintain the hard work to go along with the natural talent, he will be a high end draft pick in a few years.
  12. Ps5 here, I’m down. Don’t see it yet so I call Texas 😅😂 @TexasLonghorns you posed the question but I’m calling my shot lol
  13. I’ll never get tired of a flip from Aggie
  14. Texas Excellence
  15. Tell CDC to get the jet ready 😂
  16. Again, due to outsized expectations. What do you consider poor?
  17. That’s just simply not true. It hasn’t been Bama & Georgia level but we haven’t had a chance to recruit at that level for a number of factors. 1. Not being in the SEC left us out of a lot of recruitments for elite guys outside of Texas. & guys in Texas were still leaving for SEC & B10 schools. 2. We have not had the success to warrant high level recruiting, until last year. Expectations did not equate to reality. 3. The coaching change prevented us from bringing in a really good high school & portal class this year, which given last seasons success & moving to the SEC, would be the first real chance to sign a high level class. 4. Alluded to by @Assistant Regional Manager, the 22 class was very good. A big class with talent. The 23 class we won a head to head with Georgia for Sydir, which was a big win at the time. I would say DT recruiting has not been poor. But relative to outsized expectations, I can see why people are saying it. The reality is we have not been able to punch above our weight in recruiting, but do have talent on the roster. I believe the staff will land some big recruits later this cycle.
  18. You do realize you’re comparing apples to oranges when you’re talking about DT & LB recruiting compared to OL recruiting right? You have to think about rosters & not class by class individually. 1 LB last year, I wonder why that was. Oh, maybe it was because we took 4 LB’s in the class before that! So that’s 5 LB’s in 2 years. Makes a lot more sense when you’re talking 1 LB in last years class. The reason Flood needs that many lineman in every class is because there are 5 OL positions on the field! We consistently play 2 DT’s & 2 LB’s on defense. Apples to oranges. DT recruiting has been poor so far but that’s indicative of a coaching change. We’re not even close to signing day yet, there will be movement in the class at that position over the course of the next 6 months. I trust Sark & the staff to get it right.
  19. I see I’m in the vast minority here but I will say this; Quinn will have to prove he’s better than Shedeur this year. Quinn is on a better team, in a better system, with better weapons. Shedeur is really talented & played extremely well last year, despite one of the worst offensive lines in front of him. He can make plays on the move as well. I think Shedeur would be very good under the same circumstances at Texas. You also have to remember, the NFL is a copycat league. Mobile QB’s, not only ones who can run, but escape pressure from the pocket & throw to receivers on the move. Shedeur has proven he has the ability to improvise & do that, Quinn not so much. I love Quinn’s arm talent but he will have to show some mobility & durability this year for him to move ahead of Shedeur imo.
  20. Oof. Kenny Baker gonna have his work cut out for him in gaining some momentum back into the season & later in the cycle. Will also have to tangibly show good results & development from the d line, which in turn will help with recruiting. I’m feeling great at the moment with DT recruiting but I do believe it will turn around in time.
  21. They put it all in a minute highlight video 😂
  22. If I’m not mistaken I believe you are correct! 🤣
