    As much as I like CDC and what he’s done at Texas as AD so far, he needs the big 3 revenue sports (football, men’s basketball, and baseball) to become perennial championship contenders. Football seems to be very close, but men’s basketball and baseball will probably need coaching changes to make that happen.

    This DL class for Texas is going to be special. I can feel it. Longhorn fans are going to love the Kenny Baker era, especially if the coaching/development aspect doesn’t fall off after the departure of Bo Davis. Doesn’t hurt to make NIL for DL to come to Texas more of a priority either.

    Probably hitting the portal after the 2024 season is over if he can't get healthy. Sucks, but the EDGE room is so deep now that Texas should be fine.

    No way he is. He probably would like to switch the home-and-home with Ohio State so Ohio State comes to Austin in 2025 and Texas goes to Columbus in 2026 but it is what it is.

    Until Kirby Smart and Ryan Day retire/resign/get fired or poached, probably not but 3-5 every year is doable. Plus if Texas signs just 22-23 HS guys a year instead of 25+, hard to out recruit programs that take 25-30 highly rated HS guys per cycle.

    While not as extreme as the Baylor Briles situation, the fact that not just fans, but former and current players are saying they don’t want this guy on the team, yet he’s still being considered by UT is mind-boggling.

    Gus Cardova is a cuss word to most of the Longhorn fanbase now and for good reason. Love what Sark has done with this program since he got here, but he has to answer some tough questions if he takes on this kid straight out of high school knowing what we know about him now. Let him go to a "Last Chance U" type of situation for a year or two before transferring to b D-1 CFB program.

    I've seen other fanbases vilify this young man too, but not surprising. Ewers is a good QB and I would say at least 130 of the 134 teams in CFB would love to have him as their starter going into the 2024 season.
