    Don’t expect it to happen this quickly, but you think if Cleveland and Guervil both commit to Texas next week would Lamar Brown still want to jump in? I would say yes for sure even if he was a numbers buster. Too good of a prospect to pass up. Also have to watch for big NIL spenders like A&M and Tech on some of these prospects. That can turn the tables quickly.

    If Tech going on a spending spree prevents OU from winning again I’m all for it. I don’t think they will spend like this post Canady, so this might be their last shot at winning a softball natty for a while. Hopefully Texas doesn’t get complacent and balances being aggressive in the portal to fill immediate needs while ensuring they can retain most of their current roster. If they find a good backup to Kavan, a better infielder, and another bat or two to replace the departures of Mia Scott and Joley Mitchell, they have as good of a shot as anyone to defend their title. I don’t see anyone besides Texas, OU, or Tech winning the softball natty in 2026. That will be your preseason top 3 for sure.

    No doubt. Might not happen this summer, but wouldn’t surprise me if dudes like Zion Elee or Tristen Keys give Texas a look during the season. Especially if Texas gets off to a strong start on the field. Not saying those guys specifically but I think about how deep into last season it was before the Justus Terry recruitment heated up. ABR (always be recruiting) is how this staff operates.

    We've heard this many times about men's basketball and now baseball. These HCs have the money, but they're being strategic in how they use it. Have to let this all play out.

    Gimme the trifecta of 5-star DL in Terry, Brown, and Brewster, Sark! This is a pleasant surprise. Texas is hitting the trenches hard.

    Yeah some of their commits are undervalued on On3 imo. That’s the second best haul in the country behind OU. But they’ll get a chance to prove it on the diamond at the college level. Mikey White (as CDC calls him) got some good ones. More natties are coming!
