  1. Not necessarily imo. A lot more players want to enroll early so how do you counteract that? If there is no ESD you will still have to recruit through December to make sure they show up in January. No different imo than having a ESD or not
  2. Yeah it definitely does for them but would think that even if they aren't prepping for one it's still taxing leading up to the final game of the season. If it's make it break time for a bowl game or a rivalry game the last week it would still be taxing trying to prep for both imo
  3. According to the Athletic it's expected to move to the Wednesday before the conference championship weekend. Not sure it helps much imo https://theathletic.com/5293830/2024/02/22/college-football-december-signing-day-dates/
  4. I can read and definitely won't be responding to you anymore. Definitely from IT. Hook'em 🤘🤘🤘
  5. I disagree with that last sentence. You are looking at that from a retrospective perspective and not real time like the coaches. Additionally, you don't know how many times they investigated and did offer or take a kid (there are reported examples out there iirc). No one is perfect so expecting them to be is inappropriate imo. They shown plenty of instances of learn and being better so not sure why you wouldn't think they'd learn if that was even the case imo.
  6. I definitely agree 12 is too many. I think 4 is too many but I'm probably in the minority there. But if it's gonna be more than 4, I think last year showed that 8 would be the right amount. During conference championship week and the aftermath, only the top 8 was in contention to get a bid for the final four imo. 12 makes no sense to me. Do we want a 3 loss regular season team to be the champion? I mean even a 2 loss regular season team shouldn't be a champion imo. Not the best of the best.
  7. Joseph has been the main connection there but Bo has helped out. 2022 head to head lost Quency Wiggins, not head to head Jacoby Mathews to A&M 2023 there were no head to head but we lost Jordan Matthews to Tennessee 2024 head to head McKinley 2025 (which I know isn't done) Harlem Berry, Jaboree Antoine, probably James Simon )hasn't committed This list doesn't include once we were after that we wanted they gave us little time like Lance Heard. No go back and look at who they got that we from Texas we wanted: 2024 Jelani Watkins, Ory Williams 2023 Javien Toviano 2022 Harold Perkins To me you can say they've just as good raising Texas as we have them. You can make a point that ours is a harder feat given how hard it is to get players out of Louisiana but to me it's not like we are doing Viking raids over there imo.
  8. Great stuff CJ!!! My only question is will Sark use more than 3 maybe 4 WRs? He seems to lock on to 3 top guys and then sprinkle a fourth in every once in awhile. He even regretted not using Cook more in a game. Seems it's hard for him to go outside what he's done that has worked in the past to see if it could be even better imo.
  9. I can agree with this, but not sure I can agree with "We've been able to take what we want out of Louisiana". To each there own 🤘🤘🤘
  10. What I'm looking to see is who is going to step up and break tackles like we saw with Brian, Rojo, and Brooks last year. Brooks surprised me with how good he was at it. Choice is coaching that up really good, the question is, is Baxter or Blue a guy that can take a big step in that regard. Last year, neither seem to have the lower body strength imo. Hopefully all they can add some mass and Baxter can stay healthy.
  11. Not sure where you get that. We've signed 3 in 3 years, and granted Arch and Williams were big, however they signed 10 out of the top 11 in state last year, including a couple guys we wanted. This year they have 6 of the top 10 instate committed amd favored for another and that includes 3-4 guys we wanted imo. Again not sure I understand
  12. Why have college football at this point? A lot of the smaller teams aren't going to be able to survive monetarily once ESPN is going to overpay for this and they can't afford to televise smaller conferences. No longer have any OOC games where they get played paid to get there butts beat (well except App St 🙂 ). Plus you might as well just call this the NFL minor league imo as it's no longer college football. A lot of rivalries will be gone and a lot of the mystique and draw of college sports well decline imo. Money and greed is the downfall of college football imo as we are already seeing it. If it ramps up like this, I have a feeling it's going to turn some fans off, myself includes, like certain professional leagues have imo. Sure the money will be there but after awhile it won't as younger generations have less draw, as we see in some professional leagues, for multitude of reason including it not having it's luster like it used to have with the older generations imo. Could be wrong though.
  13. How are they destroying the sport? These form of mega conferences can be just as destructive. Look at the NBA. The players have so much control now and form these super teams. Then egos get in the way and players sit out, then go somewhere else and then the cycle repeats. I can't watch the NBA because of it. But regardless of all of that, money and greed has, and will end up in the end, being what destroyed college football as we know it imo. You can already see that's where it heading imo.
  14. I'll go down the rabbit hole with you. While the teams we play lost similar NFL caliber players, we lost slightly more than double. We lost our top 5 pass catchers (including Brooks), substantially better DL duo, and starting RT and starting CB. We didn't have that loss last year. The question is will that have a bigger impact than what we lost last year imo.
  15. I count three, Robinson, AD, and Watts, but point still stands. We haven't seen development across the board in a while.
  16. Really thought he was going to the NFL, guess he couldn't get interviews.
  17. Arch also committed a year later than Lacey. The fact he didn't visit Ole Miss, like Bobby said, should carry some weight imo. JuJu Lewis is still taking visits too.
  18. Not sure about that because he still has to be out of coaching another year for the HOF iirc.
  19. Can the Cowboys draft a new owner? Please.
  20. I really like this Bobby. I've always thought after a coach's third, maybe second (after the roster is rebuilt), recruiting class, recruiting for fit is key for sustained success. Fans may not like that a coach takes a lower ranked player, but that player may be the exact fit that is needed for the pipeline imo.
  21. Next BOR meeting is February 21-22 and hopefully once they post the agenda or it gets closer to them posting we might get an idea. Seems not much gets leaked too far out iirc.
  22. I'm being neither negative nor positive, just saying what the facts are. Not sure what you are trying to say. Facts are facts and shouldn't be ignored imo.
  23. The problem is imo, is we have seen very little from the four guys of Bledsoe, Bryant and Mitchell. We rotate 6 IDL so half of the rotation is unknown imo. Last year we had maybe 2 unknown. Now after this year we could lose 2-3 guys and Swanson may transfer because not sure he will ever see the field much. At best we'd be down to 7 guys that that had been on campus and two would be redshirt freshman so one would have to play unless we get some difference maker transfers which are hard to come by. This room is one of the last rooms that has to be rebuilt imo. Every other save TE and maybe safety, has been rebuilt with talent that we can reload at. We've taken 3 IDL the last two years in recruiting, that's not good moving to the SEC imo.
