  1. Last season, Arch played with confidence and was growing into a really good player. Not being the starter and not having all the outrageous expectations put him in a good place mentally. This year is not last year. Not sure why that is so difficult to understand.
  2. Texas 28 - UTEP 17
  3. The defense has outperformed the offense throughout Sark's tenure (except for year 1). It is very difficult, and rare, for a HC to be an elite OC at the same time. I don't think Sark can do it. He needs to find someone to call plays. It's no knock on him; it's almost universal that teams have separate playcallers. There's just too much going on simultaneously to not delegate that job.
  4. I watched the 2019 game vs Baylor with Case McCoy at a hotel bar. We were both there for different family events, but watched Texas get our butts kicked all the way to the bitter end. The game sucked, but Case couldn't have been nicer.
  5. Cosby's career was so interesting because he came back to college football after spending four years playing pro baseball. That is so rare. Jammer was my favorite for years. He was a beast as a college player. I don't think we've had a corner as dominant at the college level. The rule changes in the NFL limited his success somewhat, but he still played for a decade or so as a starter in the League.
  6. Anyone who turned off the game at halftime will be kicking themselves.
  7. This is so funny. I needed something lighthearted.
  8. CB is an endearing dude. I loved that. 🤘
  9. That McKelvey thing was crazy. I remember being in the superdome listening to the pregame chatter as it was unfolding. @Jeff Howe That was awesome that you had a former UT player as a coach. Love that tidbit. He played during my time on campus. Fun years.
  10. Not sure I like this as an identity. It sounds like a year's supply of unnecessary penalties, giving opponents a free set of downs.
  11. I saw this headline and misread it. I was wondering why Tom Herman and John Mateer were in the same story.
  12. Sad for the kid. Not getting a formal offer when you want one is hard. Hopefully Sark didn’t string him along, but it sounds like he was honest and told the player that Texas isn’t taking him. I hope he finds a good spot and thrives.
  13. He only ever coached to get Shaddeur more NFL attention. He was never going to coach college football long-term. I didn’t expect him to stay with the Buffs once his son was in the NFL.
  14. My wife went to LeMoyne. That will be interesting in the SyracuseHorn household.
