  1. Bull sh*t. Jordy pitched a fantastic game, hit a HR and deserved the praise during the broadcast. Stop posting like damn a Aggie. ESPN is big supporter of Texas athletics.
  2. The Texas I Eight and I Four captured individual national titles, while the II Eight finished second as the Longhorns secure their fourth national title in last six years. GAINESVILLE, Ga. – Texas Rowing matched its school record with 130 total points to win the program's fourth NCAA Championship on Sunday morning at Lake Lanier Olympic Park in Gainesville, Ga. Texas took home individual race national titles in the I Eight (66 points) and I Four (22 points) to give the Longhorns seven all-time individual golds, while the II Eight recorded a runner-up finish (42 points). Texas has won four national titles over the last six years, all under head coach Dave O'Neillin 2021, 2022, 2024 and 2026. That makes the Longhorns just the second program all-time to win four titles in a six-year span, joining Brown from 1999-2004. The four national championships moves Texas into a tie for third-most all-time behind only Brown with seven and Washington with five, and equal with Cal. The Horns have recorded a top-eight result in each of the previous 11 national regattas, including a top-four finish in each of the last nine national championships. It is the second time overall and first since 2024 that Texas has won two events at the same national championship. The Longhorns' 130 points was well ahead of runner-up Stanford, who tallied 125 points. Tennessee finished third with 119 points followed by fourth-place Virginia (114 points), fifth-place Yale (103 points), sixth-place Princeton (100 points), seventh-place Washington (100 points), eighth-place California (89 points), ninth-place Syracuse (80 points) and 10th-place Brown (77 points) to round out the top 10. Not only did the 130-point total match the UT program record from 2024, but it is also tied for third among all teams since 2013 when the current scoring system was established. It trails only the 132 points scored by Washington in 2017 and 2019, while Cal also scored 130 points in 2018 as part of the tie for third. The First Varsity Eight threw down an unofficial world-record time of 5:47.706 to win gold for the 1V8 and clinch the NCAA Championship for the Longhorns. It is the fourth national title victory by the I Eight in program history and first since 2024. Texas edged out second-place Stanford (5:50.160), third-place Tennessee (5:51.450), fourth-place Virginia (5:52.398), fifth-place Yale (5:53.412) and sixth-place Princeton (6:00.056). The Texas Four started the day with its third all-time gold, which is also its third in the last four years, along with 2023 and 2024. The Longhorns registered a winning time of 6:35.728 to top Tennessee (6:41.292), Washington (6:47.654), Rutgers (6:48.982), Stanford (6:52.518), and Virginia (6:52.692). In between, the Second Eight posted its third all-time runner-up finish (2019, 2024) with a time of 5:54.761. Stanford finished just ahead of Texas in 5:52.905, while Virginia was third (5:58.225), Tennessee was fourth (6:02.917), Princeton was fifth (6:03.119) and Yale was sixth (6:05.691). This marked the second team national championship for The University of Texas during the 2025-26 academic year, as Men's Swimming and Diving won the national title in late March. Texas now owns 70 all-time National Championships, including 66 NCAA crowns. Texas has now won multiple National Championships in each of the last six seasons. During the last six years, the Longhorns have won a total of 15 NCAA team titles by eight different programs. Excluding the COVID-shortened year of 2019-20, Texas has won at least one NCAA Championship in 11-straight seasons. 11. Gainesville, Ga. – For the eighth year in a row, No. 3 Texas Rowing advanced all three boats to the NCAA Championships 'A' Finals after completing both the opening round and semifinals on Friday at Lake Lanier in Gainesville, Ga. Due to forecasted inclement weather on Saturday, the semifinals had been moved to Friday afternoon. The Longhorns won all three of their first-round heats in the morning, then all three of their semifinal heats in the afternoon to advance. Texas' I Eight and II Eight both posted the best times in both the first-round heats and semifinals en route to the Grand Finals. All three boats will compete for an NCAA Championship in Sunday's Grand Finals. Texas is one of four programs to send all boats to the 'A' Finals this year, joining Stanford, Virginia and Tennessee. "We packed two days into one today, and I'm really glad with how things worked out," head coach Dave O'Neill said. "The change in schedule wasn't too big of a deal for us since we're used to doing two hard efforts in one day, especially on a Friday, so I think things might have worked to our advantage. Getting all boats into the A final is a really big deal. While we have done that the last few years, we never take it for granted." With a 6:30 a.m. CT start, the First Varsity Eight punched its ticket into the 'A' Final by winning heat 2 with a time of 5:57.958, which was the best overall time in all heats. Later in the day in Semifinal 1, Texas again registered the top overall time, clocking a 5:59.571. "Our first eight was absolutely terrific today," O'Neill said. "Going just under 6:58 in the morning and then going 6:59 in the afternoon is pretty good. Of course, Stanford is right there with us, so Sunday is going to a phenomenal race. We'll be ready." The II Eight was off next in the morning, and just like the Varsity Eight, won both heat 2 and registered the best overall time of the round in 6:03.351. The Longhorns then repeated the feat in Semifinal 2 by posting 6:06.910. Next up in each round, the I Four captured heat 2 in 6:44.878 before winning Semifinal 1 in 6:52.913. Both times were second-best overall, trailing only Stanford. Texas is set to compete in Sunday's Grand Finals in pursuit of its fourth NCAA title over the last six years, beginning with the I Four at 9:36 a.m. ET/8:36 a.m. CT. The II Eight will race at 10 a.m. ET/9 a.m. CT and the I Eight will close out the national regatta at 10:24 a.m. ET/9:24 a.m. CT. "We'll take it easy tomorrow," O'Neill said. "Having a day off during NCAAs will be quite different, but we'll make the most of it. We're looking forward to what's ahead in Sunday morning."
