  1. Past hour
  2. Intern for Jimmy Sexton infiltrating OTF, next is ESPN boards for Herbstreit and Saban. Both moving to Fox and cover Big 8 and WAC...
  3. That doesn't really seem like an upgrade over James Franklin though, imo. What exactly has Sitake done that makes him better than Franklin?
  4. If he was Will Baker that would be an awesome outcome for a 15th scholarship player
  5. Living that Sonny Dykes dream or Saban fantasy? Or we're just going to money whip Freeman?!
  6. He is Coleman Elkins. Baker was pretty solid for LSU… just didn’t stick around to develop.
  7. This is the problem, claiming head to head over Vandy and OU is the only way to move us ahead of them (and BYU which would be ahead of Utah), and unlikely Bama drops out. Not saying we don't deserve it, just a complete human intervention over the data driven components. Beating directional state instead of losing to Ohio State isn't what puts us over these teams; the SOS hit hurts and computer algos still see the struggles vs mid teams. The Florida loss is concrete on our ankles. Also ironic our fate would depend on Manny iaz and uke.
  8. DeBoer more than doubled his salary and worst case gets about $90 million for his efforts with more sympathy than scorn from the world outside Tuscaloosa. Pretty good deal.
  9. Bama is not going to be left out, they lead the SEC going into the conference championship game. imo it’s the Notre dame live fest that trumps Texas because among the names at the bottom half, only Notre dame has the same type of national pull as Texas. if Texas doesn’t make the cfp, maybe that’ll light a fire under Sark to run up the score next year on everyone. He sounds pissed enough last few days. also Sark needs to politic for the team to go to the cfp to keep the team’s trust in him. If he says they don’t deserve to go, then likely there’d be some fallout with the players. It’s like an old boss of mine always said to us - “I’ll always have your back if you keep me in the loop. Even if you screw up.”
  10. Texas has 3 good young receiver to go with Wingo and Mosley.
  11. 6-10 big man Coleman Elkins hitting 3's http://www.hudl.com/v/2TEfJW
  12. Joe Sterling recent http://www.hudl.com/v/2THYCa http://www.hudl.com/v/2THGab
  13. Bo Ogden some recent games ... http://www.hudl.com/v/2THXaK http://www.hudl.com/v/2TGRtK http://www.hudl.com/v/2TFHhA
  14. A good rule in life is to never follow the GOAT. Besides not starting land wars in SE Asia, another good rule in life is to not follow the lame duck who followed the GOAT. I use lame duck advisedly as DeBoer is a very good coach, but he will be run out of Tuscaloosa for not winning 7 national titles sooner than later imoho. Also, PSU is desperate for actual offensive football after watching their teams struggle with the forward pass for a decade. They might throw the kitchen sink at KD, and he might be wise to accept it. His leash will be longer.
  15. Today
  16. It’s still a great job and I’d be more than happy to leave Mississippi for Baton Rouge. I think most coaches see what that program has done this century, saw what a bad fit Brian Kelly was, and feel they too can lead them to glory. And keeping that talent home with no in state competition is a huge advantage few schools can offer.
  17. Thanks Gerry! Appreciate all your hard work!
  18. Additional HM... Sark for sticking with the run in the gameplan and Arch. No turnovers nice td run. Not sure how much lattitude he has to audible but there were very few plays especially in the 2nd half
  19. Of course, and I think that perspective had more weight five years ago. In a world where everyone can pay players, what is LSU? They'll hold serve on Louisiana recruiting, but run into pressure on high ranked out of state kids with matching financial offers who are not inclined to live in a dump. On Alabama, this is the same program that may lose a coach to Penn State - yes, a traditional power but one that has not beaten anyone for a period of several years.
  20. Seems the same that if the committee is going to say they are not going to penalize for playing a conference title game, then a non conference game with a top 10 team should also not count as detrimental.
  21. 100% Texas is in playoffs we lost to #1 osu .. no other team played them closer Lost #2 Georgia Won by 2 scores over #3 A&m!!! Beat #8 Ou by 2 scores!!! Beat #10 vandy ! no way a committee will choose virginia… utah…vandy … bama 8-3, byu over Texas! college footbal is as Gh says transactional…$$$$$. next sunday the committee will choose Texas cause its the best Story in college football. Arch went from deer in headlights .. couldnt hit the broadside of barn! To best feel good story of character- perserverance…and bloooming!!! Texas gets in by sheeer … we bring the Money.. tv will make money….stadiums - citys will make $$$$ College football cant live on bread n water…they need jerimiah love… arch mania … no one cares about utah- byu- vandy! Texas is in 100% in playoffs…cause $$$$ is what college football is now built on!
  22. I sure don’t. I’ll take USC over OU any day of the week. Now I would find it funny if he does leave USC for another land locked school in a second tier conference.
  23. I would be shocked if any contributor sits out of the CFP for Ole Miss. If for some insane reason they’re excluded, I hope they all sit
  24. There are very few blue blood/plum jobs ... Alabama and LSU are two of them. The vast majority of a coach goals is to get to one of those jobs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iA9SKQ5v9A8
  25. I’ve never understood why folks resent Riley for leaving OU. He’s a Texan that wasn’t comfortable at OU, he set their program back years, seems like a good dude.
