  4. I'm betting he mearues very close to 6-6 w/o shoes. He's still growing IMO
  5. I tend to like Texas anywhere in that 6, 7, 8 range more too. I'm so happy to be in the picture again in hoops. Let's see what happens
  6. Just a few of my dad's collection. Has Hank Aaron, roberto Clemsnte, warren spahn, frank robinson, yaz rookie and others
  7. CBS has the Longhorns #7 in their top 25 poll.
  8. I have generally considered 1970 to be my cutoff date, since I don’t collect baseball past that, but an argument could be made for mid 80’s. I would think 83-84 is cut off. Can’t be ‘89 because that’s junk wax. I say that while one of my favorite cards is the UD Griffey rookie.
  9. It's really kind of funny. When your 8 years old stuff happens. Should I tell you of the story of my father (who was saving a 1st edition Batman comic book) he came home from the army and found out his mother threw it away. Those 1st editions are currently worth 1.7 million
  10. I disagree with most people on this thread, focus on football and forget baseball.
  11. Today
  12. Madi Doty is a generational prospect that is coming in. Another female Shohei ohtani like Hannah Wells but better.
  13. T-Sweat. Might be in the minority but he was the best player on the 23 team.
  14. Congrats to a great Longhorn! Didn’t know SWC Conference HOF was still a thing.
  15. Who are the incoming freshman?

  17. Presumably slide to 2B
  18. I don’t know jack about anyone in particular, but we do have to have a back up middle infielder or two whether through the portal, high school, or a returning player
  19. I watched highlights clip today, interestingly, Mowins said Canady was listed as the starter, but then when they had Terry pitch first, that counted as a substitution, normally not an issue for them, but when they brought in the third pitcher, Canady was subbed out of the game and then couldn't come back in.
  20. Has it been reliable anywhere ever? intel on the Aggie exodus was way off
  21. Here's the press release Texas sent out today: Former Texas Football standout Corby Robertson has been selected as part of the 2026 Southwest Conference Hall of Fame Class, the Texas Sports Hall of Fame announced Wednesday. A native of Houston, Robertson played defensive end and linebacker for Texas from 1966 to 1968, earning All-SWC honors as a defensive end in 1966, and first-team All-America recognition at linebacker in 1967. He served as team co-captain in 1968 when Texas shared the SWC Championship and was recognized with the team sportsmanship award that same year. Over Robertson’s career, UT compiled a 22-9-1 record. That included a 9-1-1 mark in 1968 in a season in which the Longhorns closed on a nine-game winning streak. That was capped by a victory over No. 8 Tennessee in the 1969 Cotton Bowl Classic and a No. 3 final ranking by the Associated Press. Robertson was also a GTE Academic All-American in 1967 and 1968 and received an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship to complete his business degrees. A Board Member of the National Football Foundation, he has spearheaded a number of postgraduate scholarships through that that organization over the years. Following his athletic career, Robertson achieved significant success as an energy sector executive and prominent philanthropist, directing millions in funding toward Texas higher education. He has served as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the board of Directors of GP Natural Resource Partners LLC since 2002. Inducted into the Texas Athletics Hall of Honor in 1993, he remains one of the most respected examples of leadership and student-athlete excellence in University of Texas history. He was inducted into the Texas Business Hall of Fame in 2006. The Southwest Conference Hall of Fame honors legendary athletes, administrators and contributors whose accomplishments helped define one of the most iconic eras in collegiate athletics history. The Induction Ceremony and Luncheon will take place Tuesday, August 4, at 11:30 a.m. at the Texas Sports Hall of Fame in Waco.
