I would be shocked if Ohio st scores 31 on Texas defense with a qb who has never started a game. Texas defense will be one of, if not the best, in the country. The only way they score 31 is if Texas gives the ball away several times. Realize Texas has a history of stopping long home winning streaks. Nebraska has won over 50 straight games when UT beat them. Alabama had a long home win streak when we knocked them off a couple of years ago.

Michigan’s talent doesn’t come anywhere near Ohio State, neither does their DL coaching. They rely on developing low 4* and high 3*. -

The same IOL (Luke Montgomery, Carson Hinzman, and Tegra Tshabola) started and played the entire games against Indiana, Michigan, Tennessee, Oregon, Texas, and Notre Dame. Phillip Daniels started the second half of the season for Minnesota. Your OL is really that experienced? -
That is what Michigan said last year with their NFL DL and that didn’t go as they thought. We will see.

100 meter sprint times this guy- 10.7 Ryan Williams- 10.49

Wingo and Livingstone will feast if this OL is gelling in pass pro by then.

Nebraska hasn’t been a contending team since 2001. USC hasn’t been a contending team since 2005. USC has potential to get back to a perennial contender if a coach can emerge that just locks down California recruiting and can poach nationally. I do not think Nebraska can ever get back to their heyday. They’ve only ever won with one style and that style is gone. No elite recruits actually want to live in Nebraska. I can see 5 teams from the Big10 ever actually winning a modern title: Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, Oregon and USC. I’d be willing to bet good money no other team from the Big10 will win a championship in the next 10 years at least. In the SEC, there’s 8 teams (Bama, UGA, Texas, OU, LSU, Auburn, Florida, Tennessee) that have won since 1998. That’s literally half the conference. I could also see TAMU or Ole Miss contending for national titles in the next 10 years.

I get it. But that’s not an indication you’d be better on the interior. I think much of these are tossups, and it’s a matter of who brings their A game. I can’t speak to your team, but our staff is good at mixing skillsets, which is not the same as compiling talent, which we do as well. People act as though Arch is young and inexperienced. This is his 3rd year. That’s not young. He is relatively inexperienced, but he’s not without experience. We’re balanced in our youth and maturity. There will not be reliance on a freshmen or many true sophomores. They’ll be pieces to the puzzle or already proven commodities. In a sense, the loser of this game may be better served for the end of season run. Im always confident, but I think we win by two scores. -

I don’t think they win this season. -
That's funny because Ohio State can't beat Michigan either!

For some more consideration, of the top 5 PFF graded Olinemen with 100+ snaps, you lose 4 of 5 with only #4 returning. Who by the way had fewer snaps than Goosby. Ultimately, I’m not certain your Oline is more experienced than ours. We need our returnees to step up bigger. -

As far as Hero is concerned, he would have either been 2nd or 3rd team here as well, and that is why he left. -

In looking at last years Texas v Ohio State, the 3 DLine guys I see referenced played a total of 39 snaps. They’ve been around 2, 3 and 4 years. Your last years front 4 were 4th and 5th year guys all with tons more plays. Kanu played as many snaps as one other dude. As best we can gather, he’s 3rd team here. As for our Oline, we have two guys that have logged over 1,000 (1,300/1,800). Goosby had as many or more than your 3 returning guys on the Dline last year. Our 4th hasn’t played a ton but been here a long time. So our inexperienced OLine is more experienced in our system than your Dline is in yours. -

It’s hard to take Illinois and Indiana seriously. Although Indiana was consistently good for betting the team total. South Carolina was very good at the end of the season. I do think they would win. I truly don’t think USC would beat LSU. The Tigers are really good. They’re just burdened by an imbecile coach. Speaking of imbecile coaches, I can’t take USC seriously until Lincoln Riley realizes he has to play defense as well. Beating A&M is a different matter. We will gladly pull for any B1G team there. They’re an embarrassment to the state of Texas, college football, and common decency. -

I consider the middle - USC, Washington, Nebraska, Iowa, Washington, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin. I consider the top Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, and Oregon. USC beat LSU & Texas A&M, Illinois beat South Carolina, USC & Nebraska are two of the bluest blue bloods in the sport, and Washington just played for a national championship two seasons ago. -
