Gerry any word on other positions? I won’t name any specially but hopefully they’ll guard against one center of attention. -

The root cause of the offensive struggles is the OL, not the QB. The offense does fine, both running and passing, when the OL isn't overmatched. Replacing the QB doesn't fix the running game. Unfortunately, there's probably no quick fix for the OL and putting Lacey in is just desperation. -
Either start Lacey or go down with Arch. Throwing Lacey in only after Arch potentially stumbles and we get behind is a) unfair to Lacey and b) unfair to the team/fans.
-
KJ should start against Ole Miss but most likely won't smh
-
Sark will start Arch against Ole Miss and he will play well with the script. After the script is where he'll fall apart. Will Echols will kill Connor Robertson and Brandon Baker and we'll be missing our best player on the team so we'll see if the pass rush will ever get home against the uber talented Chambliss.

I will believe it when i see it but it feels like it is weeks too late. -
Lacey needs to start on Saturday. If there isn't a marked improvement by half, that could give Arch a boost of confidence because he'll see it's not all on him, and he can put on the cape and be the hero. I don't think Texas fans will get the sample we all want to see if you let Arch start and then bench him midway through the game, because that's asking a lot of Lacey. If Sark starts Arch and Texas drops a 3rd game in a row and 2nd at home, I think the only way Sark keeps his job is if he agrees to hire an OC (Chip Kelley???) but that might not even be enough.

I don’t think that should be a fear, if that wins games, then hell yeah. -
So money. Texas beats OU without the two disastrous picks. Those are on Arch. Texas probably beats Florida without turning the ball over on downs, that's on Sark.
-
I you guys are probably right with these scenarios and I hate it. If you’re going to give KJ a shot, don’t throw him in a quagmire. Get him in for a scripted series early, even if not starting. Commit to it and communicate it internally in advance so you don’t further rattle the team.

My biggest fear is Kj coming in and getting the ball out quick like Quinn and Flood is saved.. -

Sark is in a lose lose. Regardless of how much blame you put on Arch vs Sark, when you struggle like this you need to play another QB just to hope for a spark. The issue is, Manning being benched leaves Sark vulnerable to even more criticism of his beloved scheme. And I think he’s terrified of that. -

if the running game is going to completely disappear after the "script" then maybe Lacey is the best fit. winning games the rest of the season is one decision and Lacey maaayyyybe helps with that which is fine. nobody is above the program. however, the offseason discussion is something else. two failed offensive offseasons have to be answered for I think. and again, nobody is above the program in the offseason either. -

Sark realizes he’s gotta choose between his job or Arch Manning. We’ll see if he’s willing to sink with the Manning ship or not. 8-4 or worse should be fireable with this roster. -
Honestly we don’t need KJ to win games for us. We mostly need him not to lose games. He doesn’t need to be a hero, just use a check down and make the simple plays. It’s ok to have a 3 and out, just don’t have consecutive 3 and outs. Be a game manager.
-
Again, how is that not on sark instead of arch. Sark went away from what was working for what reason? Almost every play to the perimeter was positive yards. How can you be an oc genius and go away from what worked. That’s malpractice

I worry about the “Arch practiced well” keeping KJ on the bench. -

I will get excited when it's 100% Lacy. It sucks for Arch because he does everything right but he is just not very good. Maybe it eventually clicks for him bit right now he is bad... -
I think that is logical and certainly pragmatic, which is anything but.......for Sark this year. Question though: Do you think Sark would actually do that against Ole Miss and with the entire Manning Family present because of The Ole Miss game? There are some who claim that there is a so called "deal or or at minimum a gentlemens agreement" for Arch's development. I'm not saying there was - don't put those words in my mouth - , but I am asking a question of: "Can Sark bench or pull Arch in this situation of Ole Miss and the connections in this game???
-
Sark was asked about KJ during SEC Media Days (by Gerry) "I think he'd be a dangerous guy if he got in the game because of his off-schedule stuff that he can do, but also his ability just to throw the ball in rhythm and in timing."

We are 6-6 this year
