  1. Past hour
  2. How can two different players put their hands into an opposing player’s face mask? Don’t they know it will cost 15 yards? The first changed a sure OSU punt into a touchdown drive. The second wiped out a safety. Eight points from mental errors on the defense that otherwise played well. We’ve simply become accustomed to false starts by the offensive line, but they keep happening. Maybe start thinking a little out there. Sorry for ragging these guys out. I think we have a promising season ahead. Our expectations were oversized in part due to our listening to hometown media pundits.
  3. I agree with most of this but to be fair to him arch was not on his game with hitting the open man … it is what it is … hoping we stay healthy into Gainesville
  4. I think he wants to do both because his ego won’t let him give it up and one of his greatest mentors, Pete Carroll, did that when he was at USC. Carroll was both the head coach and defensive coordinator/playcaller during his tenure there and won a couple of natties. Sark is trying to prove he can do that too.
  5. Do we have any theories as to why Arch was under center a lot more than Quinn ever was?
  6. Yep, FSU and others demonstrated you can be a great HC, and a great offensive playcaller, but doing both at a big time program does not work in today's world.
  7. I think sark has proven to be the most overrated play caller ever. Not real hatred. He has a few tik-tok plays that show up on highlights but over the course of a game I am just amazed at how awful his game plan can be. Regardless of the quarterback. It's not Quinn's fault, it's not Hudson cards fault, it's not Casey Thompson's fault, it's not Arch Manning's fault. The things that always show up year after year and the only constant is sark. I want him to be our coach and I love him to death. But he needs to step away from being the play caller. He forces you way too much. Throwing the ball on first down when you saw in the first quarter that Arch just didn't have. It is beyond me. Third and three in the red zone and we throw two passes. When the running game has been working all game. He is the reason we lost this game. We have a great team that played very hard. Very disheartening. Same issues we have seen for 5 years now.
  8. Always good to have an optimistic attitude in life. As terrible as we were offensively, we had a chance at the end. Hopefully build some confidence and cohesion with the offense against some directional chumps.
  9. No we miss the Quinn that won 11 straight away games . Arch will be fine please give him a chance.
  10. This. The "offensive genius" ceap needs to die. The red zone in year 5 is the same BS every year
  11. I don't give a damn about draft position. I care about wins at UT. QE will never get enough credit. OKst QE wasn't as bad as today. We waited and schemed for 9 months for that sh!tshow today
  12. As a Buckeye fan (went to the game), I don’t want to play you guys in the playoffs. We lucked out with a few key penalties, was a home opener, and our back 7 played really well. Texas took away Smith and their lines played better on both O & D. Your QB will be fine. In fact, from my seat…it didn’t look like the Longhorn wideouts ran crisp routes-wasn’t a lot of daylight. Good luck and win the SEC…happy to play you again in 5 years or so.
  13. No idea. Guessing during the game.
  14. Definitely a lack of explosive plays that we've gotten used to the past few years, outside of the Livingstone catch and I think one by Wingo, there weren't much.
  15. Our RBs (while I love them both) are average. the defense Ohio st was playing allowed for running the ball.
  16. That he suffered in the game or before?
  17. My main issue is there was nothing remotely exciting about the offense/playcalling. Offense seems to lack speed. Defense and Boumeester will keep us in every game. Arch has to be much better than he was today.
  18. The positive I guess it that the gave was winnable, like you said, Texas beat themselves with penalties, bad misses (Arch), and poor play calling. It wasn't a blow out, it was a close game to the now probably #1 team early in the season. Also, the team knows what they need to work on in order to beat a good team, the next 3 games won't really tell us much because theoretically, the starters should not be playing in the 2nd half and resting.
  19. It’s frustrating to watch a coach in his fifth year at his third HC stop unable to adjust in real-time. No excuse for Sark’s red zone issues at this point.
  20. I was hoping for a Texas team like the 05' team where stories from the guys of how Vince would dare the defense to stop them by telling them exactly what they were doing and saying see if you can stop it. There's still a ways to go to get to that level of confidence and play.
  21. I agree, which is why I’m optimistic. Arch’s pocket presence and accuracy are things we’ve seen him excel at. Hopefully just first game in the shoe jitters.
  22. The run game was positive, but there were no big plays, few broken tackles. It was not threatening enough to cause an adjustment to OSUs defensive gameplan.
  23. They scored 4th and goal line. We didn’t. That’s it right there
