Agree with you here Sean Miller is a high level big time coach. Past history always always equals future performance he will correct and win just like all coaches past history equals their future performance. We’ve witnessed it here in tragic ways with Beard and totally predictable ways of failure with Terry and I’ll bet Miller gets this team in th high winning percentages and deep tourney runs just like he has at each and every stop he’s made. This time with the backing of more money, facilities and all the resources of our Texas machine Get on the bus !

The defensive lapses in the backcourt are the truly mindboggling thing. Although Swain is not a backcourt player, he's guilty of it too. If you had shooting skill on the offensive end, you could mitigate that. Perhaps Miller could make an example of someone by benching them a few games. Problem is he doesn't have a reasonable option to fill in. That's why I don't care how many games they win from here out as long as they don't completely fall apart.

At the end of the day you gotta make shots. We didn’t all day and are lucky Aggy was missing too in the first half tough one to lose but we competed through it all and still only came up a couple buckets short Miller has proven he corrects and improves and this team of young and mismatched players will win some they shouldn’t and lose some that make you frustrated it’s all part of the process of climbing out of the ditch we were thrown in two years ago

One of Nation's Top DL Recaps Trip to Texas *** While the Junior Day was a bit smaller to begin the 2026 recruiting year, there was nothing small with getting Sierra Canyon (Calif.) DL Kasi Currie on campus for the Texas staff. The 6-foot-5-inch, 315-pound defensive lineman made the trip to Austin on Saturday and came away with glowing remarks from his trip. This was Currie's first trip to Austin, but there is already some familiarity on campus. "Just seeing my boy Richard Wesley," Currie said of the highlights from his visit. "He just got out here and he was telling me about it over the phone a couple of days ago and I just had to come out and see it." The two were teammates at Sierra Canyon, and before Wesley reclassified to enroll early at Texas, the two were in the same grade even. Quite the defensive line tandem there. On his visit to Texas, Currie was able to sit down and talk with Steve Sarkisian, LaAllen Clark and Kenny Baker. The trio had a similar message to Currie" "That this is the best place for me," Currie said. "I am going to get developed and that everything I want is here." An interesting nugget from the trip is that Currie said despite this being the first time he met face to face with Steve Sarkisian, that it felt like he had met before. Even with this being his first trip down to campus, the Longhorns very much remain a school of interest for Currie early on in his recruitment. He said post-visit the Longhorns were very, very high on his consideration. "Texas is at the top of my (list). They are at the top of my list." Two other schools of interest include LSU and Alabama. Currie said the Longhorns will certainly receive an official visit in the summer time as well. Then after the officials, a decision will be made. Coming from California, Currie also said that the city of Austin reminded him of being out on the west coast, despite the weather being a little chillier on Saturday. Very solid first impression for the elite Cali defensive lineman. Losing tends to make you adjust. I believe he will adjust. If he doesn’t then yes it won’t last long. Time will tell.

i live in Bulverde and watch every game. he has a big arm and is great on the move on rollouts. throws a beautiful tight spiral me never appears to be rattled. can run a bit for a first down but he isn’t gonna take it 60 yards to the house. solid size and really good leader

Are we talking about the SEC schedule? Texas plays a weak non conference schedule every year. I will take your word for A&M schedule being weaker in the non conference. In conference they have one loss. And they owned Texas the entire second half.

Based on what I've heard Bucky say, he thinks gimmicky ball is the way to go in the "modern" game. While it's true that current rules and even the three point line itself are gimmicks, you can't coach your team to rely on gimmicks like 6'5" centers and "pressure" and still win big when you play teams that are both talented and fundamentally sound. Otherwise stated, physics and form can't be negated with gimmicks.

Haven't seen much adapting. He's a really good coach. Even when Crump comes back, we won't be a good shooting team.

I think a flood of hate may be forthcoming

I agree on his style of play. However, I think with time he will move away from that style. I think he’s going to be an excellent coach there. I think Coach Miller is a very good coach. In his own words his players again, came out in the second half with no effort. There is a packed house, the game is tied, and you have guys having to be separated from each other. So with all that going on they come out soft. That’s on the players and him. Forget the talent right now. Don’t recruit or retain guys that do that. All that does is poison the locker room. Texas does not have a number one option. They have a few second options.

Gianna Kneepkens was in the portal and visited Texas, but went to UCLA instead. She’s the type of 3 point sniper this team could’ve used. UConn’s got elite shooters everywhere and a great defense. They’re shooting over 40% from 3 on 20+ attempts per game. Gonna be tough to beat for anyone, including Texas. Geno Auriemma’s about to go on another dynastic run. Hope Vic continues to adapt to what modern day basketball has become or he’ll be like Mike White before he won a natty last season in softball.

This post is not what you think. By change, I mean philosophically. Rod B and others speculate that Sark is moving on from the "big human" prototype and embracing more athletic tackle types to play inside. Flood can develop tackles like nobody's business (let's not forget that). The game is evolving on inside line play and that might be a good thing for Flood. Last year (especially against GA) showed that quick, explosive defensive lineman trump "big humans" on the inside. Perhaps Sark's evolution of the prototypical lineman plays into Floods strengths? (developing athletic lineman as opposed to "people pushers") I'm being optimistic...........I know. I just have a hard time believing that Sark is going is simply accepting business as usual from Flood's IOL evals and development. That's not Sark's history. He evolves with the game. Examples: He now favors dual threat QBs and bigger receivers. That was not his preference five years ago but the game evolved and so did he at those two positions. Maybe this past season simply showed Sark and Flood that people pushers don't work anymore and that it's time to evolve. Maybe that's why we so many "big humans" go and seem to be signing more athletic types? Just a thought. This is based more on Sark's ability to adapt than ANYTHING I've seen from Flood on the inside.....just to be clear. I mean SOMETHING must be keeping Flood here right?
