At some point it stops being “keep battling” and starts being a support group for recruiting denial. If Royal flips, hanging onto hope and a prayer isn’t a strategy, it’s just delusional cope.

The sky is falling, we’re doomed, might not ever win another game or land a big recruit ever again. This 17 year old kid is trying to make a multi year million dollar decision and he’s having a little uncertainty, so let’s write him off as gone.

Nothing about this scares me anymore, this is the landscape of recruiting now. Basically free agency unless a kid truly loves his college. Nothing will change until it does lol.
