  1. Past hour
  2. Steele used to be in the Blake Gideon territory, but that has since been moved to the Keynodo Hudson umbrella as I mentioned previously.
  3. Hugo holds 27 offers, Texas not among the bunch. has been committed to Arizona State since April 10.
  4. It’s interesting (to me) because Iowa State football has the top attendance of the historical Big 12 schools (post Texas, OU departures), and is second to only BYU when the new entrants are considered. I completely understand the TV market perspective on ISU being the #2 school in a small farm state with no major TV local market, but it’s a shame for the fans who turn out to support a competitive school that they’ll soon be relegated out of big time college football. If ISU were in the Big 10 West, they’d be competitive peers with ALL the other schools in that division (Iowa, Minn, Ill, Wiscy, Neb, NW, etc.)
  5. Eli Johnson at WR for routes on air. IMG_8835.mov
  6. RB Jonathan Hatton Jr. has always been a favorite of mine. He has a frame that mirrors a multi-year college back. Steele lists him at 6-1 and 215 pounds and he is every bit of that 215 pounds. The one time Oklahoma pledge is currently committed to Texas A&M. Texas will be familiar with the Steele product over the next few years.
  7. I am a sucker for lengthy cornerbacks and Steele has one with CB Michael "Trey" Johnson. 6-foot-3 and moved very well for a rising junior. Saw time on both sides of the ball as well. This is a D1 cat at some level.

  9. I tell ya, I never enjoy the drive from Austin to San Antonio down i35. I never do. But, the trip was made once again this morning so I could go check out Cibolo Steele HS during one of their spring practices. The objective of the trip was to go check on 2027 DB Eli Johnson and where the Longhorns sat in that recruitment. Johnson, a 6-foot-3-inch defensive back has been one of the quickest risers in the next class of defensive backs. He recently clocked a 4.49 40-yard dash at the Under Armour Elite Series camp in April. Texas nickels coach Keynodo Hudson stopped by Steele Friday morning to get a look at Johnson and the rest of the roster. Today, coaches from Oklahoma State and TCU were in attendance as well. The Longhorns have yet to extend an offer, but one coming in the near future would not be too surprising. The Steele staff raved about Johnson and of course the comparison to former Longhorn Caden Sterns was made. Right now, Texas is keeping tabs on the 2027 prospect. Eli Johnson Offer List: Baylor Cal Florida State Minnesota North Texas Oklahoma Oregon State Pitt Purdue TCU UNLV UTEP UTSA
  10. Hopefully the pitching bounces back, but I am more concerned about hitting. Rylan (.325) and Kimble (.323) are the only hitters batting over .300 in conference (not counting Jonah yet) and three starters are batting under .250 (Flores, Farmer, and Borba). Flores is batting .192 in conference.
  11. Today
  12. Understandable but we swept UGA and have a better conference record. Glad to have the target off our back though
  13. Other top 5 teams slipped too is why IMO.
  14. They are still 2 up in SEC, and had dominated up until this weekend. I had guessed the 3 spot.
  15. Surprised they didn’t slip a bit more after the poor showing over the weekend.
  16. I think my friend's dad graduated from Arkansas in about 1960. Men didn't talk much back then.
  17. I've been saying on Bases Loaded that UF is getting hot at the right time and their rise back into the Top 25 shows just that.
  18. I went to a double header between Arkansas and Baylor on a Saturday in April 1986 when I was 13 with my best friend. His dad was an Arkansas alumni. I think they split the double header. We ate at Whataburger in Waco between the double header. We ate at Braum's in Corsicana on the way back. I don't remember my friend's dad saying a word during the hole thing.
  19. Darn it how did you know
  20. I welcome any misery for any team in that minor league
  21. I've never heard your voice. You must be permanently muted.
  22. Raising the basket will still favor the tall guys just like making a golf course longer will still favor the long hitters. As pointed out above, rules need to be changed. I haven't watched NBA, or college BB except for the Horns in years.
