  1. Past hour
  2. Not so sure it's bend but don't break he wants to play. Because they are one of the top teams in the country for sacks and they get plenty of pressure. There was a clear progression year over year with the secondary. Gideon/Joseph gone and an entire new room of DB coaches. Maybe they don't mesh well, maybe there's too many cooks in the kitchen, who knows. But apparently now PK is the problem lol. I can't say it isn't surprising though, I knew there would be a drop off but I didn't think it would be this big of a drop off.
  3. Not so sure the issue is Akina. PK has always had that bend but dont break mentality. Difference is He had Makuba and Jahdae back there masking the shortcomings, and for some reason Taaffe has not been the same player this year, bad angles out of position etc.you are going to have a really hard time playing man and especially press man with that mentality and thats the players that have been recruited. Just saying the issue is much larger than Akina.
  4. Wish the defense had finished strong but we got the W 🤘🏽 Need Ant Hill back now with TyAnthony out the first half against the aggies
  5. Today
  6. #12 2-loss Utah down by 10 with 3 mins to play against KSU last night, we didn’t need that f’ing comeback to happen. Ridiculous int by Kansas St w 49 secs left. Our odds looked a lot better with the Utes out of the pic. Georgia Tech and USC losses help. Expect we’ll be at #15 this Tuesday. We need to beat A&M in convincing beat down fashion (36-20) then we need some serious help over next 2 weeks. Tennessee over Vandy plus either LSU over OU or Auburn over A&M (or both) then we need to jump Utah and BYU based on SOR, SOS, Quality Wins over OU, Vandy, A&M. Would either of those Big12 teams have beaten Georgia or OSU? Of course not. Guranteed to make CFP……..OSU, IU, A&M, Georgia, ND, TTU, Miss, Ore plus ACC Champ and next highest ranked conf champion (that last one is a joke). That means 10 spots are virtually locked. If OU and Bama both win next Saturday over LSU and Auburn, hard to see path for Texas. If OU or Bama get upset (preferably both), we have legit shot at last spot in, especially if Vandy loses to Tenn. Odds of these dominoes falling right feels less than 10% but it will make for fun next 2 weeks. Hook em!! 🙏🏼🤘🏼🐂🧡
  7. Always a great use of time to lament recruits who chose a different school and had success.
  8. You should be. 30 plus points 4 straight weeks. Arkansas had over 500’yards offense. Insert backup and no problem. He throws for 200 in a half. The regression of the defense is staggering at this point. We’ve not an elite defense right now and I’m not sure we’re even good half the time. Extremely disappointed in that side of the ball. The bright spot was seeing Kade Phillips compete. He’s gonna be alright. Same with Littleton. On the 40 the least amount of time and they are playing the best right now arguably. Fire Akina yesterday.
  9. Truthfully....the irrational fan base is sucking the joy out of watching on Saturdays.... Hook'em
  10. What place do we think we need to be in the Tuesday release to show that the committee is positioning to put Texas in at 9-3 with a win over #3 and a couple upsets? #13-14?
  11. Carlton would be the least exciting of the flips to me. Our edge room feels the most healthy and I cant imagine him getting much run until year 3+.
  12. His family has several UW grads. Texas does not control any recruit's family. Duh!
  13. I'm not sure we let him flip, as much as he wanted to stay closer to home and he has family that played there, no?
  14. You had TE's that could run it or that he actually utilized out of it. It's never really been that great blocking wise but this year might be one of the worst it's been. He should stick with 11 and go to 10, see what's what.
  15. It has worked ok for us in past seasons by holy cow it is a disaster this year. And we've played 11 games, so it is what is. Not sure why Sark has throw away 10 plays a game checking to see if 12 personnel will finally work this week. Please stay in 11 vs A&M Sark.
  16. How would our guys grade out against Purdue, Rutgers, UCLA, Wisconsin, Maryland and Illinois? He’s a UW Legacy. Shouldn’t have surprised anyone that he flipped.
  17. An experienced road grader would be what the doctor ordered. The guy that will get us the tough yards and can block.
  18. Ranked as a top 20 freshman in the NCAA by ESPN as a a starter on Washington’s O-Line. Glad we let him flip!
  19. Well pretty much everyone won, so gg? Lol. It seems like OU is similar to Texas last year. Good D and terrible O. Also, what was with that score with Georgia? All of a sudden they don't look as good offensively against some weak team lol.
  20. I'm not sure what Sark's fascination is with 12 personnel? If you want to run it, recruit actual TE's not tweener WR's.
  21. I know Taaffe has had his injury issues this year but he's taken a massive step back from last year. Thought he'd be able to be a stabilizing voice for the secondary and it hasn't done much of anything. Our guys don't make many plays on the ball, there is also a steep drop off in talent from the starters to back ups (who we're supposed to rely on next year). A&M has the talent to punish us in the middle of the field and on the edges, similar to Miss State but worse. They also have a running QB who we seem to be unable to defend now. I'm expecting another shoot out, I know we have new DB coaches but I was not expecting such a drop off from last year. Especially the guys there all have a good level experience/time in the program. I bet if Ohio State had aired it out more instead of playing conservative they would've exposed this a lot sooner. Anyway congrats to the boys for the win and lets go win next week, see where the cards of destiny land for us and let's start prepping this team for a better year, next year.
  22. 1. Don’t know for sure but things are looking good for a couple of the visitors. 2. Texas has continued to chip away. They’ll be there until the end.
  23. Don’t disagree on the drop off from having Ant Hill available, but this criticism feels harsh on Lefau. He’s not the athlete Ant Hill is, but I feel like his instincts and playmaking have showed up many times the past two seasons.
  24. Even for the running game, I’d rather have an extra wideout on the field to pull a defender out of the box rather than muck things up with a second tight end. A third wideout makes you much more versatile and tougher to defend rather than the extra tight end.
  25. I agree on the first point, but everyone on this defense needs to take advantage of in-game snaps, no matter the game situation. It was an opportunity to step up against Arkansas’ backup quarterback.
