Tough game for them to not show up to. Can't afford to play like this against great competition. Georgia had some really good pitching and took advantage of opportunities with their bats. Off the top of my head, Borba’s error and maybe the ground ball Larson tried to field that went foul could be chalked up to the dirt. Tinney’s errors and Volantis hitting batters didn’t have anything to do with the grass and dirt.

“Shrinking in the biggest moments”. All 3 sports have won conference titles, went deep in postseason play and have delivered plenty of big wins. If losing a super regional last weekend would have been considered “shrinking in the biggest moments”, then you can’t say a win isn’t delivering in a big moment. As Mack Brown said, “the only big games to some fans are the ones you lose.”

Love CDC, but this is the one criticism you can make about his tenure at Texas. You just wonder when it will end or if they’re just cursed in these three sports.

I put this question in the chat yesterday about seeing a tick down on Defense because of the real grass and dirt field on Bases Loaded. You guys acted like it wasn’t a big deal because they have played a bunch of games on those type of fields and I think it played more into the game than you thought. I agree with Schloss, worst game defensively I’ve seen all year. Don't know if it had to do with the field or the lights were too bright but either way they can’t afford for it to happen again.

So nowhere in the presser did he ever take any ownership of that dumpster fire of a game we all had to suffer through?

Can’t win titles saving your worst for Omaha. Stick couldn’t hit with a tennis racket… no adjustments taking 3 strikes… def was awful… hitting over matched… just a good ole ass kicking.

Just try to get one Monday and finish as high as possible at least competing. No way this team and staff can win it all coming from the loser bracket. But still a good season , just a frustrating way to lose . The flaws have been there for all to see, but finishing in the top 6 or better is about right. The program will still be in the hunt for the future!

Schloss was planning to pull Volantis after the fourth, but Texas scored in the top of the fifth. Schloss felt taking Volantis out would've sent the wrong message to the team.

Schloss said Volchko perfectly executed Georgia's plan. Particularly, he mentioned how Volchko only uses his overhand curveball against lefties, which really tied up Anthony Pack Jr.

Schloss said he doesn't have an update on Ethan Mendoza. He said maybe swinging the bat negatively impacted his shoulder, whereas it hasn't since he suffered the injury at Tennessee.
