At the 8:40 mark, Cody Campbell makes the statement: "They(Texas Tech) have a contract to not only pay him, but to play him. So how do we not play a kid when we're contractually obligated to do so and a court has ruled that he's eligible to play?"
Maybe I'm flat out wrong but it would be shocking to me if NIL agreements actually contained provisions requiring a player to be given playing time. Coaches make lineup decisions all the time, and I can't imagine a contract legally obligating a school to put a specific player on the field.
