Jayden Daniels is a real A-hole
Thanos72 replied to Gerry Hamilton's topic in On Texas Football Forum
Suing your alma mater because another player is using your unretired number results in your reply of “ what’s wrong with that?” Texas sites used to give me hope because logic and practically led the way. We’re not much different than atm now and days. Money centric with get yours while you can mentality. Sad. -
You can pray for my Liver. I plan on drinking all the beer at our tailgate in a few weeks.

ESPN Preseason All-American Team
Hornio replied to Gerry Hamilton's topic in On Texas Football Forum
Texas had four first team all Americans in 2005 (post season). This would tie (eclipse with Neblitt at returner) that. -
Man, this place is wild for a new member to walk into. You picked a heck of a thread to make your debut. You show up saying you’re escaping Buckeye talk, and within five minutes you’ve learned half the board is secretly Ducks, Aggies, or Kyle Flood’s cousins. Just wait until someone tells you @Joe Zura was actually Mario Cristobal’s GA and @Rocky P once tried to transfer to Oregon for “scheme fit.” Welcome to OTF, brother. -- where the football talk is elite and the nonsense is even better. Agree! I saw this too. To be fair I think they should also be giving 9 out to guys that it’s promised to. -
Can’t say I feel sorry for them. Unfortunately, in the day of the portal and NIL, we are going to start seeing more of these type of situations happening. Glad that Texas and Sark vet their potential players/portal transfers very thoroughly. Hoping we never have a player/situation such as this.

Jayden Daniels is a real A-hole

How is he an a-hole if the prior coaching staff and administration agreed to not let anyone wear his jersey number? If they agreed, what is the issue? -

The guy won a Heisman. Should be an automatic retiring of a number if they do that and if the person chooses to let someone else wear it, then alls good. A bunch of coaches in my family that agree. -

I understand Florida doesn’t retire jersey numbers, but even multiple players have worn #15 after Tebow who is a college football icon. Daniels is just a diva. -
Neither Joe Burrow’s No. 9 nor Jayden Daniels' No. 5 were officially retired by LSU. They were "soft-retired" by Brian Kelly who actively protected both numbers. Lane Kiffin reversed that stance to give the number to Pickett

SI's top 25 ... plus one bold prediction for each team
Aspann85 replied to Gerry Hamilton's topic in On Texas Football Forum
You may not believe it but if you look into the history of athlete psyche, it’s a real thing. I always had my best races when I had a low seed. They call it the “outside smoke” for a reason. -

24 Days Until Kickoff: Who Was The Best No. 24?
HalfmileHorn replied to Blake Munroe's topic in On Texas Football Forum
@Gerry Hamilton could probably find some good info on this, but Jam Jones was from Youngstown Ohio. I remember thinking it was remarkable signing him in that time. -

He isn't the best to wear the number, but my favorite is Joe Bergeron.
