The odd thing is that OTF has been adamant for weeks that Texas was in the top 2. Either (a) something dramatically changed in the last 24 hours, (b) OTF’s information was off, or (c) this is a smokescreen. I think (c) is highly unlikely.

Either that or it was intentional for a "shock the world" moment. We'll know for sure one way or the other tomorrow morning when it leaks out.

I say this as someone that likes Jeff and Rob ... these guys act like Colorado was a bad team. They weren't some bad/terrible team. They went 17-16 and 7-11 in a damn good Big 12. They had 7 losses by less than 10, and some of those were really good teams that they played from 2 to 6 points in conference play. I tend to believe people underestimate Isaiah being Chris Johnson's kid. He''s groomed for this move to full time team runner. Not every game or stretch will be high-end, but he will be fine after a short adjustment. BTW, I have Florida as the easy pick to win the SEC preseason. SEC going to 9 game conference schedule only further supports 24 team playoff. SEC would get 8-9 teams in every year and they’d be better prepared for playoff run after facing depth of SEC First 8 get week 1 bye 9-16 host 17-24 1-8 host winners in week 2 Everything else the same: Week 3 on NY Day with 4 bowl games (1 on NYE) followed by Semi finals and finals.
