  1. Past hour
  2. BYU is currently ranked eighth in football.
  3. Houston could also pull off a 2 loss conference record.
  4. Problem is Arizona State doesn’t have a quarterback.
  5. I was playing around with the big12 record calculator. If BYU were to win today, TTU ends up 7-2 in conference and Utah and ASU were to win out and finish 7-2 in conference… The championship game would be Utah and BYU despite Utah’s head to head loss. The Big12 rules move away from head to head if there is a 3 way tie and changes to opponent record. If BYU were to beat Utah Big12 would certainly only get 2 teams in. Weird scenario, but maybe more possible than BYU being left out of CFP with only 1 regular season and a conference championship loss. That being said, TTU with 2 regular season losses and a conference championship loss also would not get in.
  6. With a burrito in hand!
  7. Has to be an Allsup's in West Texas
  8. They flipped a coin in a Valero parking lot????
  9. They don’t have the same spend on football so they can use a bigger piece of the pie on bball
  10. Today
  11. I can’t imagine living in Utah by choice. To each his own.
  12. I wouldn’t blame him. That brings us back to why they have so much and Texas has so little? Which brings us to, shouldn’t all schools be able to offer the same? And then we have to trust that Coach Miller is not here, if he thought Texas couldn’t win a national championship with what he has been given. So get Goosby or Cam. If he doesn’t, then he has to win in the portal and develop guys he will have back next year and guys he is redshirting. Man it would be nice to have that money though.
  13. The winner of the American Conference is most likely going to be selected to the College Football Playoff as the 12 seed, even if they aren't ranked in the CFP Top 25, just like Memphis was this past Tuesday. After beating Memphis last night, Tulane has taken a step closer toward the CFP. Five teams in the American have 1 conference loss: Navy, South Florida, North Texas, Tulane, and East Carolina. East Carolina carries 3 losses overall, so if they won the conference, they would likely not be the committee's selection. - - - - - - Resumes Tulane and South Florida each have wins over Power 4 Teams: Tulane: Northwestern, Duke South Florida: Florida South Florida has the H2H win over North Texas. Tulane has H2H wins over East Carolina and Memphis. Navy plays Notre Dame later today in non-conference. A win would be a boon for their resume. - - - - - - Remaining Schedules Navy has South Florida and Memphis left on their schedule. Tulane and North Texas are through the difficult part of their schedule and will look to finish 7-1 in conference. Navy: South Florida, @ Memphis, Army South Florida: @ Navy, @ UAB, Rice Memphis: @ East Carolina, Navy North Texas: @ UAB, @ Rice, Temple Tulane: FAU, @ Temple, Charlotte East Carolina: @ UTSA, @ FAU It should be a very interesting finish as these teams not only fight for the American Conference Championship, but a spot in the CFP, too. - - - - - - Chances Outside the American San Diego State sits 7-1 overall in the Mountain West with a 34-0 win over California (the Aztecs are the only true contender in the Mountain West for the 12th Playoff spot as Boise State lost to South Florida and has 3 losses on the year. James Madison sits 7-1 overall in the Sun Belt. Even without a strong resume, finishing their schedule at 11-1 gives them a shot at the Playoff if the American Conference teams cannibalize themselves.
  14. DO, I’m with you here. The LG position has presented the biggest question all season. Neto is one part of it but also no Robertson, particularly given Hutsons work having been at Guard leading into the season. The Brooks decision makes little sense and even less so now. I’d go Stroh over Brooks if we need to play one.
  15. 5-9, 175'ish Super quick and fast Super headache ... apparently He should go to an FIU, San Jose State, UTEP type, zip around the field and put up numbers next year
  16. I disagree. Quinn was excellent pre snap at adjusting to what he was seeing with the line and knowing where to go with the ball. Which meant the ball came out quickly. A QB who can get the ball out quickly and process would have made the line look less bad than they are. Arch’s problems were that he wasn’t recognizing pre or post snap where to go and was holding ball a long time and/or delivering late. And no QB will be good when they’re getting hitting within a second of the snap.
  17. I would think they want a bigger fish than that and should have the $$$ to do it with Gibson out, Wisner going pro, and possibly Stewart entering the portal. Who knows what Baxter does after this season as well.
  18. He is a walking red flag
