  1. Past hour
  2. Hank Gathers died, Gary Payton was the star, Derrick Coleman played in some All Star Games. I don't recall who was further down in that draft but I think Chicago secured Kukoc. It wasn't deep, as you suggest.

  4. Reminds me of Travis Mays class.
  5. This has been said about him for 2 years straight if he was like pack or any of the other draft players we have had in the past he would be better by now.
  6. You are right about that. I think they have tried to get him out of that dead pull problem. Also, a lot of his Ks come from having to take early pitches and getting behind a lot. And with his not so great eye for the ball and bat control he is a sucker for those low and outside sliders and curve balls. Those 81 Ks are nothing to sneeze at. Of course they aren't in the Trey Faltine range but they need to be cut down. He is a very good infielder and with a bit more plate work and discipline he can be a much better hitter.
  7. he was never going to be drafted lets be real lmaooo
  8. Perhaps not directly……….but maybe something something about time, something about resources…… Yeah, I’m guessing wagers are never done during company time for anyone. At this point, I’m not exactly sure what my personnel manual says.
  9. I knew the 2027 draft was bad, but that is a bleak top 10.
  10. That corner of grass by the left field pole at the Disch where the Cannon is held should just be called Borba's hill. He would have had 7 more home runs last year if those balls weren't like 10 feet foul.
  11. I was surprised a few weeks ago when I saw his OPS in SEC play (.925) actually ended up being better than his overall season one for the season (.919).
  12. Today
  13. I’ll never understand comments like this when a player isn’t even bad. Career .931 OPS while playing excellent defense. He had several other SEC teams telling him he had a spot if Texas didn’t want him back.
  14. Don't see Matas going No. 16 ... https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/2027-nba-mock-draft-tyran-stokes/
  15. Agreed. Honestly think he tends to struggle with the SEC pitching. Doesn't have a problem with the Tuesday night games
  16. That’s my guy!! Get it done. He’s the real deal and is gonna show up big this year.
  17. Yep. Hopefully that's the focus for improvement. When he hits the ball, it's hit pretty dang hard. Rare to see an 18 homer cat hitting 8th in an order. But that's where improvement has to come.
  18. This guy is getting overlooked in all of the talk of the bigger names, but I really believe he could be a solid piece this year and have a real breakout season next year. He's the veteran in the room next year and Bishop and Royal as other parts, he could have a really big year next year.
  19. Hopefully he can cut down on the strike outs. No problem with his defense, but those K's are rally killers
  20. Texas infielder Casey Borba has announced his return to school. As I had reported previously, Borba was on the fence about testing the MLB Draft, but was leaning toward returning to Austin. Now Jim Schlossnagle gets a veteran infielder back in the fold.
