  2. Hoped you wouldn’t get defensive but alas. Not a strength and little push. If this were accurate we score at least twice in short yardage. They gave us rushing between the 20s because we don’t have the backs to make them pay. Most of the rushing was empty calories between the 20s. Taaffe can’t compete physically with Downs. They’re in different zip codes. Much of the freedom to run the different disguises/defenses is the versatility of Downs. Love Taaffe and we’re lucky to have him. Zero coaches in the history of ever would take him over Downs unless he is an enormous debit in the locker room of which I haven’t heard. If you measure anything by I saw it happen, insert low number, then you could say you’re right about everything. Arch had a crap game. Even Quinn, often to self sack, stepped into the pocket. It’s what you do once you’re there. 3 times as validation is super funny. Saying a coach tailors a plan for their player says nothing. The outlier is the one that doesn’t and in this game, Sark intentionally tailored it to the short and intermediate game and not the deep pass so you were absolutely wrong. Now you’re extolling your prognostication expertise by downplaying the risk at Florida. I think loud crowds impacting games are largely mythical if a team is elite. Strong O/D lines with good backs are a real threat especially with our primary backer still struggling with run fits. OU after isn’t ideal either. If we’re competing for a championship this season, we should win but that doesn’t eliminate that they’re one of the teams we need to take seriously unlike the next 3. Spare me the coach talk about every team gets our best. Have a great day. I’m not going to reply to anything else. I’m happy that you enjoy and support the team. I apologize if I originally rankled you. It just tickled me. 🤘🏽
  3. You say after beating LSU like that’s something that will happen. Florida goes to Death Valley the week before and takes on the same LSU squad that just handled Clemson in the road. It’s very probable that Florida is coming off a loss at Death Valley when we play them.

  5. A different perspective from Dan Orlovksy. Dan says it was not Arch playing poorly as much as Matt Patricia dialing up NFL concepts that Arch had never seen. It is a good 2min 30sec video. Instagram link
  6. Arch should have taken my advice and talked a lot of smack before and during the game to juice himself. Just watched the interview again where Kobe was talking about the first time he played against MJ when was 18. Guy asked him what it was like to hear MJ talking with so much respect for him after the game. "It was nice, but he didn't tell me anything I didn't already know."
  7. That's what Baxter would've been if not for his injury last year. The fact he even played against Ohio State is a damn miracle lol.
  8. When it comes to lines of scrimmage I read the reports and try to make my best assessment. I knew Texas would be better people movers than last year because of the size. I watched our transfer defensive tackles and the flashes January had last year and expected him to improve from there. Many of the experts had worries about our interior, but there's a post somewhere that I said we insert new guys every year since Couburn and Ojomo and get better every year somehow. I didn't learn anything from watching Florida last weekend and definitely didn't see anything concerning outside of their sophomore running back. He's what I expected Baxter to be.
  9. Basically the same for Arch then. Although I guess DJ has played a little more. For the OL/DL I’m just going off of what experts thought and where they were rated. They were both top 10 in the country pre season. Couldn’t tell anything really with their first game.
  10. Where did you see that. I read where their yards after contact was pretty bad.
  11. Was not the G-C-G not a strength and not able to get push? Didn't the lack of depth for OSU show up? How many rushing yards did Texas have. Most of my statements were predicted on Arch playing decently, which he didn't until the fourth quarter. Where did Downs in this game look light years ahead of Taafe? What coverage did OSU play? Inverted Tampa 2. I talked about Arch stepping up in the pocket, did you not see that 3 times this game? Didn't Sark tailor the game to what Arch does well? His best passes wasn't the quick game its the deeper stuff and thats the best passes Arch threw all game. While you're getting screenshots go back and find where I was asking about Arch in the quick game and intermediate throws. To say nothing I said happened is crazy.
  12. It’s almost like you’re taunting me with this initial line. I have read one guy lost us the game. From my seat, we had a prove it moment twice inside the 10. Sark put us into position to fail on the sneak. Then 3rd and 3. I’m generally of the opinion that if you’re going on 4th at that distance, you go run on 3rd. Yeah, yeah missed pass. Again, those are prove it moments for the Oline. And really a perfect game and venue to do it. And not to mention, the team would likely be pumped for Baxter in his return to the field to slam one home.
  13. Any team that’s strong in the trenches on both sides with very talented backs serves attention. You’re cracking me. Literally nothing you wrote was on point for the OSU game, lol. I promise I’m not mocking you. I just think it’s hilarious that you have not even looked at a brake much less pumped them. Bravo! I was bored so I wanted to see your run up to last week. I hope we destroy everyone left on the schedule! 🤘🏽
  14. My point is that the scheme does not make fast receivers look fast—not the game we’ve seen this year or any games last year. That is just not the scheme Sark seems to run. Our guys who got drafted high goy drafted high because they ended up running faster at the combine than people thought they would—AD Mitchell and Golden, exhibits A and B. Those guys were really fast but they didnt ever really look like it in Sark’s offense. I’m talking about 4.3 guys.
  15. Arch is our guy, not sure why people are wanting Sayin over him. Sayin did next to nothing special, he threw that TD pass that wasn't great and if Guilbeau turns around could've probably picked off, if not swatted away. If they had to put the ball in his hands to win them the game, I don't know if he could. Because then you're asking him to do more than you wanted and Texas would've pinned their ears back and gotten after him. Because they would've moved away from 12 personnel and moved back to likely either 11 or 10 personnel.
  16. I think 7 is fair, was expecting not to drop out of the top 10. Not worried about the rankings just go out and do your jobs, uphold the standard and that will take care of itself.
  17. Our guys are fast, did we miss them getting open against an elite secondary? Hell even Endries is fast and Townsend/Washington are good athletes at TE. I agree right now we don't have a speed guy at RB, Baxter still working his way back from injury but he's not that type of guy and Wisner isn't either. I've no idea if Clark could be but he didn't see any action. Plus Manning has some legs. I'm not concerned overall but I did think they could've done better in the portal at WR with what was available but t hey were also in the midst of a playoff run, so it's hard to split your focus like this.
  18. Same. _________ is the reason Texas lost. 1) Arch being too nervy and erratic 2) Sark’s game plan 3) Sark refusing to take points in the RZ 4) OSU is the better team I don’t think it’s #4.
  19. The guy said if he was a 5 star WR he doesn't know that he'd pick Texas. That was the overreaction to Saturday. Outside of Ohio State and probably LSU I'm not sure there's another team in the country that's done better with their WRs than Texas under Sark. Bond before injury looked more explosive here than he ever looked at Bama. Mitchell made many explosive plays here even if he didn't look like a 4.35 guy at the time. We also took Golden who was more known as a Kickoff return guy and turned him into a complete WR and 1st round pick. Don't get me wrong I would LOVE to have a Dakorien Moore or Ryan Williams type but we've been pretty dang good at developing the talent at the position since Sark arrived.
  20. I’ll take arch over Sayin this year all day. Sayin didn’t beat Texas. Texas beat Texas.
  21. That seems about where we should be honestly. We’re a great defensive team with a ton of upside. Arch will get better just look at his growth from ULM to MSU last season. He learned from his mistakes improved dramatically and if not for fumbles and drops we probably win that game by 50.
  22. Very well said 👏🏿
  23. So we should be worried about Florida because they have talented starters but so do we....I understand being "worried" about them but your team now has experience in a hostile environment against great competition. I think the boys will be fine, as long as they execute and be more disciplined. Plus if Ohio State was meant to have this great OL, are we saying Florida has a better one? They have better WR's? They might have a better RB, I'll give them that. Do they have superior LB's and DB's? I'm all for respecting an opponent but this team has already been through a tough road game against a great opponent. If they get rattled on the road against Florida, then they don't deserve to be in the SEC title game or in the playoffs.
  24. I am right there with you on florida. Sunbelt Billy will find a way to go 9-4 at best with them.
