As a 29 year resident of Louisiana let me try to explain something that I don’t think y’all will ever fully comprehend. You guys are HUGE fans no doubt but you don’t need it or live it the way these people do. You guys have things to do and a life outside of sports. It could be going to your ranchettes on the weekends, floating the river, going to the coast, visiting the hill country, academia, etc etc etc. On the flip side, most of these poor broke &$@$@ers don’t have much more than a pot to piss in. They’ve scored last on the happiness index for 4 of the last 5 years. It’s a hot , humid state and if you don’t make real money or you don’t follow your kids around for travel ball you don’t have f@ck sh!t to do here. LSU is life. They’re going to spend more money per capita than the state of Texas or face a revolt in the streets. The state government understands this as well as the high heeled donors. In a nutshell if you’re not one of the haves over here you live a miserable life. The powers that be fund LSU to keep the populace happy. It’s sort of like a zookeeper throwing a side of beef into a tiger cage to keep them fat and sassy. Before you ask I’ve been in the oil/gas industry for 30 years next January and as a consultant I’m fortunately one of the haves that’s able to travel, afford private schools, and live a much more vibrant life then most of I’d have left long ago.

If Sark lands LWC and Sales, and is able to hang onto Royal, who are some flip targets that could really make this class special? -

I know Dylan Stewart has traits that translate well to the NFL, but Colin Simmons has been the more productive player at the college level between the two. For Simmons not to have been ranked higher than Stewart coming out of high school is head scratching to say the least. -

We went 10-3 and 7-0 in district that year, we 3-4 kids on that roster go on to play college ball, 1 with a cup of coffee in the NFL. My teammate that made this video is building a house 2 doors down from me. RIP Biko Benefield # 34 he passed away just a year or so after we graduated

Congrats!!!

Texas is on a roll with its 2027 class, and certainly isn't done given that we are only a handful of days into the month of July. Should the Longhorns bat a thousand moving on remaining prospects RB Landen Williams-Callis and WR Monshun Sales, the Horns will have put together one of the most top heavy recruiting classes since Sarkisian took the job. Which, likely means it is the most top heavy class in a decade and a half considering the previous regimes. But wanted to go through the top 20 recruits Texas has signed each year, based off of the 247Sports Composite rankings. 2022 – #10 DJ Campbell 2023 – #1 Arch Manning, #18 Anthony Hill Jr. 2024 – #18 Colin Simmons 2025 – #10 Jonah Williams, #12 Justus Terry, #18 Kaliq Lockett ... #21 Lance Jackson 2026 – #18 Dia Bell 2027 – #2 John Meredith III*, #6 Easton Royal*, #20 Ismael Camara* * denotes currently committed Longhorns are right in the mix for a top five class at the moment, and the two whales remaining could certainly put them in the conversation for a top two class in the country. Plenty of work to be done until the classes are finalized, but the elite talent that headlines the class is certainly there for this 2027 class.

Perhaps so, but he spoke in absolutes.

That's true, but I think that user was saying out of the big three men's sports (football, basketball, and baseball), baseball has been the most successful of the three historically.

@Blake Munroe Any updates on 2B or pitchers? Anything new on Paz? I assume he’s leaning ATM but he could be special in Austin with some development. Do you know if we still are pursuing another OF after missing on Laya?? I would assume 2B is the biggest team need at this time. Thanks!! Hook em’!!🤘🏻🤘🏻
