  2. This would impact Seymore I think…
  3. The part that jumps out to me is Baker saying the age‑based eligibility rule won’t be retroactive. That’s exactly the kind of thing that’s going to trigger lawsuits. You can’t create a new eligibility pathway for future players while telling the guys who already exhausted their years, “Sorry, tough luck.” That’s two different classes of athletes overnight. And with NIL in the mix now, players can argue real financial harm from being denied another year. That’s a very different legal landscape than the NCAA is used to. They’ve been getting hammered in court for years, and this is another situation where their logic is going to get tested hard. So yeah - if this rule goes through as “not retroactive,” the amount of legal action coming their way is going to be wild. The NCAA keeps trying to modernize without fully thinking through the consequences, and every time they do that, the courts end up cleaning up the mess.
  4. Good stuff. Story time. I've met three Cowboys in my life: Jimmy Johnson, Jim Jeffcoat and Darren Woodson. When I went to Texas in the early 90s, I lived in Irving during the summers with my brother. I worked in the lumber yard at Payless Cashways at Beltline and Road Island. In June 93 Jimmy came in and walked up to the lumber counter. I was 19 and just stood. He told me he wanted some glass and materials for an aquarium. Few questions. Sold him some stuff and cut some glass for him. Next week, Jeffcoat comes in and buys some plywood. Met Woodson at Hooters in 99 in Addison just after moving back to Texas from New Mexico.
  5. Too late, Sorsby already contacted me.
  6. They are going to get sued no matter what so they need to pass it anyway. If it gets the 28 year old "freshmen" out of college sports then I am all for it.
  7. So if this actually happens the amount of lawsuits the NCAA is going to get hit with is going to be wild right?
  8. Absolutely it is expected to happen Was told late last week that it’s expected … and that 4th year seniors in this class will not be granted an extra year. I was also told the Texas A&M G-League commit Bryson Warren is not expected to be eligible- but we shall wait on official word. He’s five years removed from HS graduating class already.
  9. Hope so. Needs to happen.
  10. I have to think that NOT retroactive will create a lawsuit or two.
  11. Sports gambling companies heavily market to Gen Z and everyone is willing to take their ad money. They are especially vulnerable with entry level work rapidly vanishing. It's a pretty sad situation.
  12. Tech could run wildcat offense and win enough games in the Big 12 to make the conference championship game..
  13. Today
  14. If the NCAA says it’s happening, it’ll be happening. But in about 5 to 7 years.
  15. Honestly tech could trot out any jag and win enough games to get to the playoffs with that charmin soft schedule.
  16. Well he did sign to play for Tech so thats a pretty good case for mental illness
  17. Hopefully this wakes up the general public with about possible addiction with on line gambling.
