Weird year because with two games left, you could reasonably argue either. We could be CFP level or a subpar sec team. It’s crazy because both are true. Beat two top ten teams, but lose to one of the worst teams in the conference and need miracles to beat two other bad teams. Sometimes we even switch from playoff caliber to bad in the same game (Vanderbilt, Miss St). Feels to me like we’re closer to 7-5 than 9-3, but we’ll see. Either way, huge offseason for the program.

I can take a loss at Georgia. Hard to take three in a row. Hard to take a solid bit&h slap like we got. Kirby pantsed Steve in the fourth quarter. I’m pleased with the program post Charlie and Herman. We failed this offseason bad. Get it fixed sark.

Post more please. Not sure about Nansen and Flood. Agree with everything else

After the last few weeks there's zero doubts in my mind that we're seeing Arch play his best football and we're seeing him progress more and more every week. He's tough as nails, he has zero fear of standing in a dirty pocket and taking a hit, he can evade rushers, he can get out of the pocket and he's finally being accurate with the football. PFF gave him a 82 adjusted completion percentage. He threw the ball more than 40 times. That's elite level of accuracy. What's even more encouraging is that it seems to me that he's gotten over the mental hurdle of playing in a big setting or being afraid to make mistakes. He's also processing a lot quicker and you can tell he's a really smart football player. The last 4 games the 2 ints that he threw were one on a bobbled football by Livingstone and the other on a inaccurate ball to Moore (which probably should've been PI), none of these being due to stupid decisions by him. Having said this the film guy brought up an intersting point about his development: Arch really struggles to layer the football. He said that he makes about 12 throws every saturday that are just elite NFL throws where he has either a really tight window to throw into, or he's standing in a dirty pocket with pressure in his face, or he's throwing on the run. But he's errant when throwing to Mosley, for example, running a deep over. He says that if Arch isn't putting everything he can into the throw he doesn't know where the football is going. He the concluded that he's still a guy that he would draft to then try to develop that part of his game. I find myself agreeing with him cause I think that's a big part of the offense that is missing. We struggle to have explosives because Arch isn't accurate on deep overs or routes that are "running away from him", where he just has to put a little air under the ball and let receivers create in space. The only other way we can create explosives in the passing game is with the screen game or deep post routes/lower percentage throws. What do you guys think about it? Do you think it can be fixed this offseason? Do you think it's something that's gonna take longer and is deep rooted into his mechanics?

I understand where you're coming from, but I just can't see it happening with Sark unless he has a come to Jesus moment. Like what Gerry has talked about several times in videos since the game. -

I like how in your comparison that you conveniently leave how that Kirby played for a national title in year 2. -
Imo we are closer to falling apart than having any business in a CFP. This program needs a reboot specially Sarkisian badly. There are a lot of problems under the surface. I hope there is someone that I’m not aware of that is an adult in the room speaking wise words of council and has a plan in place to right this ship. I have my doubts and Texas football is in a precarious spot…again.

I agree, the lack of communication between PK and the secondary has been a problem from Day 1. At UW it was supposedly not an issue because PK meshed well with Jimmy Lake. Garry Patterson helped a little bit, but coordination was still lacking. I had hoped the return of Duane Akina and the departure of Joseph and Gideon would cure the problem, but if anything we have regressed.

Kirby loves to rub it in. His comment about his players don't just cash checks is another example of calling us out. He didn't mention his team's driving record, or troubles following the law, did he?! He's a smug coach until we beat him. -
Goosby needs another year. He's not Kelvin Banks yet. But he will a first rounder if he stays one more year and continues his development.

Sidberry is a dog. She is tough and is a very welcome addition to our team. I love her hustle. -

Justice Carlton is finally over her knee injury. She attacks the basket and is a force around the rim. She looks stronger too. This team is way deeper than last year. Now if Booker is on the bench, we have Jordan and Aaliyah who can score. We didn't have that last year. Preston is also a lot more confident shooting and using her speed to get to the rim. My only question against UCLA is can we stop Lauren Betts? We should match up well with the rest of their team. But Betts is a problem. Hook'em! -

Kirby in his first 5 years as HC at Georgia: 52-14, 1 Conference Title, 0 National Titles Sark in his first 5 years as HC at Texas: 45-20, 1 Conference Title, 0 National Titles. While Kirby did have more success, both him and Sark only won 1 conference title and 0 National Titles during their first 5 years. The hope is that Sark can replicate what Kirby has done in the last 5 years as Georgia HC: 62-6, 5 Top 10 finishes (as of 11/16), 2 Conference Titles (still chance for 3rd), 2 National Titles (still chance for 3rd). Kirby is the best HC in CFB: 9-0 against Top 10 teams at home in Athens all time. Sark needs to shut him up on the field if he wants to shut him up off it. -
Really solid breakdown. The loss hurt, but you’re right — this is more about a drifting offensive identity than getting out-physicaled. If Sark recalibrates from within and re-establishes a clear philosophy, the program can get back on track without any panic moves. Personnel-wise, OL depth, a physical RB, and real upgrades at WR/CB feel essential. LB probably needs one steady veteran, too. And yeah, WR/DB coaching development just hasn’t matched the talent. It’s not a blow-it-up moment, just a “tighten things up and get aligned again” moment. Appreciate the thoughtful post — Hook ’em.

Sounds like an awesome plan! Monk’s Café and Standard Tap are definitely Philly essentials. And with graduation coming up, don’t forget to sort out your grad stole—it makes the day feel even more special. And agreed on the Penn Relays — the energy there is unreal. Seeing talents like J. Charles on the track just takes it to another level.

Honestly, I feel the same way. The portal is going to be wild for us, and being active in every area might be exactly what we need to reset things. And you’re right—this season isn’t beyond saving. Taking down South Carolina and ending their unbeaten run would be something this team could hang onto forever. Moments like that can shift the entire vibe of a program. Hopefully, the players and coaches regroup and get their mindset right heading into Arkansas. There’s still a chance to finish strong if everyone locks in.

Makes sense. Sometimes a team needs a few tough losses to spark a real culture shift, just like Georgia did with Bama. If Texas uses this the right way, 2026 could look very different. The players who stay will be the ones ready to fight back and earn their shot to return the favor. -

PREACH!! We all saw Colin Simmons get held multiple times and no flag. Refs don't wanna face Kirby after flagging his team. We can see the 💩 every week.. CBS and ABC do a good job of focusing on his smug ass every game. This is cool.. I'm good with the bulletin board material. Alabama whooped their asses for a good while..then they got tired of it. These comments he made... should be the gunpowder in the dog food for this group. I think we'll get what we all want in 2026... but maybe, just maybe, they'll surprise us and fight like hell these next 2 weeks...? Either way... keep it up, Kirby... -

Kirby is going to get his. This is what Texas needs. Georgia took multiple ass whoopings from Bama until they got sick and tired of it. After these 3 beatings... and however this team finishes, we will see the real CULTURE in 2026. I think you'll have a bunch of "kids" that will be motivated to kick ass. I like it... keep it up. When it comes around... we will rub his nose in it. -
One thing that is very Herman-esque is supposedly hiring an elite OC to be HC and then ending up with horrid offenses. Really damn annoying. I pray Sark hires an OC that runs an offense that college players can execute. I'm over the Sark system. If he can't give up OC duties we need to get a new HC.
