Wonder if Peter Woods regrets not portaling

Got to wonder if Dabo isn’t crumbling under the pressure a bit. He basically had a “I dare you to fire me” moment earlier this week. -

I think Texas was a player for him if he hit the portal, when he didn’t, I think the coaches pivoted to Watson. -

Eh it is what it is. He’s going to the NFL after this season regardless of Clemson’s overall performance. I do like their WR Wesco though -
Clemson down 24-7 to Syracuse about to go 1-3

The guy that was sued when the stadium’s concrete was cracking after the first season?

Great break down of some of our super freshmen! We have experience at setter, libero and in our primary offensive weapon, partnered with freshmen playing at such a high level! - Today

Works for me, good idea @DirectorsCupUpdates -
To answer the question though, the $20 handshake supposedly does not still work.

He was a willing blocker, but overpowered at times by smaller players. Really good hands and caught the ball away from his body. Good in contested catch situations. Returned kickoffs and showed good agility. But he was maybe 6’-2 1/2 and looked a bit thin. Not as big as his instagram profile of 6-5 220 His frustrations became a bit of a lightning rod and the crowd actually chanted “overrated” at him, which I thought was a bit much. He could be a good college player, but he didn’t seem like a game changer at the college level.

Love this question. I put together the scores in a spreadsheet. As you can see, Texas is not typically a strong fall program. Further, the scoring in the fall doesn't correlate well to the final score. Further, Further, the final score doesn't correlate well with Texas Final ranking. We scored 1370 in 2022 and came second yet we have won the cup with final scores of 1252 (covid weirdness year) and 1255.25. We are on track for 200+ this fall. That is plenty to keep us in contention, though the forced inclusion of a 0 in W soccer would likely impact our final score tally. -

That guy needs to be suspended for the rest of the year and charges filed. Having said that I think that handshake line at the end of the game needs to be done away with. There isn’t much sincerity involved there. Game over go to the field house.

Great idea! Thanks @DirectorsCupUpdates! Let’s go ladies! 🤘 -
Way more electric than Wingo though Wingos elite trait is his combination of size/speed. Bishop is lightning fast.
-
There's a reason Texas didn't go there.
-
He’s got something no Texas current offensive player, with the possible exception of Ryan Wingo, has. Elite top-end speed quickly.

What were the fall scores for the previous five years? And what were the scores for women’s soccer? -

Just an insanely dominate performance over #21 Baylor. Big wins in every set. Cari Spears led the offense with 18 kills while hitting an insane 0.654! She added 3 blocks Torrey Stafford had a bit of an off night, 10 kills on 26 attacks for a 0.268 percentage. She did have 2 service aces and a block as well. Freshmen Taylor Harvey is coming along as well, she led the defense with 4 blocks while adding 7 kills on only 10 attacks! Conference play begins Wednesday against Vandy and Friday against Mizzou. Both at the Greg! -
Over the last few weeks 2 things have become abundantly clear: 1. This women's volleyball team has what it takes to make a deep run in the post-season and claiming their 5th national championship is certainly a possibility 2. There is a good amount of interest on this board in the team. That said, I think it would be great to host all volleyball content on one thread throughout the season. @Sarah O and @GoHorns1 have been creating separate threads for each match, but let's just throw all of those on here. It'll also be a great spot for video highlights, social media posts and any other volleyball related news. If you haven't been paying attention to this team so far, now is the time! Hook em

25-26 Director's Cup Thread
DirectorsCupUpdates replied to DirectorsCupUpdates's topic in On Texas Football Forum
Previous scholarhship limits were 12.6 for me and 18 for woman, and that combines Track & Field and CC. Like @HelloThere said, programs basically had to pick a couple of track disciplines and invest heavily there. For Texas it has been sprints, throwing and jumping events with little resource spent on distance events/CC. There is no longer a scholarship limit, just a roster limit. That number is 45. Texas having 45 scholarship athletes should be a good advantage over schools that won't fully fund all their spots and you can truly build a strong program in every discipline. I have always said the most valuable athletes in terms of the Director's Cup are distance runners. Someone who can be an All American in CC, indoor and outdoor track and field can have a positive scoring effect on 3 different sports! -
Hes underrated because of his size. Absolutely another Travis hunter.
-
There are some players who should have the ball in their hands anytime it is possible. J B is one of those types of players.
-
Uhh. Glad we didn’t go there. congrats to waxahachie on the big win

How was his blocking, explosive athletics, size seeing him in person?
