  1. Past hour
  2. IMO, there's been more nutty sh*t from UT fans on the internet over the last couple of months than ever before.
  3. Just get an OG. Please. Pretty please.
  4. Also, remind me to never eat the Rams chili.
  5. I think CJ Stroud did though.
  6. I'll bet they didn't put in in their jocks!
  7. I think as the floor we get the Texas St kid Lockette. Texas has some irons in the fire is the read. Bray Lynch imo seems obvious at this point as one of the options.
  8. Wonder if there’s any friction between the head coaches and Athletic Directors or University Administrators due to these rules. Maybe some coaches think not enough is being done at the top to push for change.
  9. This must be what it felt like when scholarship limits first came into college football. You have to get used to not having that safety blanket of depth you enjoyed before. It sucks. Looking around at the other ‘haves’, several teams took it in the shorts more than us, though (Alabama, Ole Miss…).
  10. 1000 reasons to like Indiana and zero to like Miami, starting w/ Beck v Mendoza. I hate that Indiana is gonna probably win a NC, but its 1000 x better than Miami winning anything.... 🤘
  11. I remember that ugly loss in the 1991 Cotton Bowl and can’t have Miami winning #6 before Texas hopefully wins #5 so give me Indiana all day. I do think this could be a repeat of the 1984 Orange Bowl for Miami when they upset Nebraska or like the 2008 Super Bowl between the Giants and Patriots where the Giants’ lines of scrimmage win this game almost completely by themselves. Should be a great game and not a blowout regardless of who wins it imo
  12. Who are guys "rooting for" in the NC? I hope Indiana wins it. Cinderella story and all that. I also think Mendoza is 100x more likeable than Carson Beck, so there's that.
  13. somehow you left out that he only had 3 passes completed against him all season. Yeah, he's a take all the way. Recruit til the final whistle!
  14. Same high school as former Longhorns Derrick and Cedric Dockery. Taught in that district for a long time (South Garland and Sachse) and it has been very good to the Longhorns. Herkie Walls, Brandon Loy, Charles Omenihu, Devin Duvernay and Jason Flores come to mind among several others. Most coaches there are Texas friendly
  15. I saw that too lol Had me looking freezing on that clip... which I was!
  16. Today
  17. Randomly scrolling TikTok and he posted a behind the scenes video of his visit. Pretty cool to see. @Gerry Hamiltonand you @CJ Vogeleven made it on the TikTok.
  18. Please tell me a single position that hurt our chances more than LG did. Before you do that, go back and watch the Florida game or even the Kentucky game.

  20. Longhorns Sit in Pole Position for 2027 Cornerback **** One of the top defensive backs in the state of Texas made the three hour trip from Garland to Austin on Saturday for the first junior day of the calendar year. Lakeview Centennial's Montre Jackson received a Texas offer on the first week of January and wasted no time getting down to see the Texas staff and the check out the campus. Jackson spoke with reporters following his time on the 40 Acres to recap his visit and to update where things stand with the Longhorns and his recruitment. It was a great day," Jackson said. "I had a great conversation with Coach Sark and finally got to talk with Coach Muschamp." Jackson said the conversation with Muschamp remained focused on the idea that he is a priority for the staff and someone Texas values highly on their board at the moment. Prior to the visit, Jackson had spoke with Muschamp a couple of times over the phone after he was announced as the Texas defensive coordinator. The efforts from Sarkisian, Muschamp and corners coach Mark Orphey has Texas sitting in the top spot for Jackson at the moment. "It's probably, definitely my number one right now," Jackson said. "Definitely leading my recruitment right now, for sure." Oklahoma and Tennessee are two others that are hot in pursuit, but for Jackson he says his previous trips to Austin combined with the relationships with staff members keeps the Longhorns ahead of the remaining competition. Jackson says he will be taking his official visits before making an final decision with his recruitment. Schools in the running for an official include Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas A&M, SMU and Duke. Of course, Texas will be receiving one as well. I mentioned Jackson as one of my takeaways from the afternoon. Much taller than I had anticipated coming out of the trip, a legitimate 6–1 and some change. He told me afterwards that he hopes to run 10.1 in the 100m and 20.7 in the 200m this spring. Last year he ended up recording a 10.3, showcasing already elite speed at the cornerback position. *** Key Competition Tennessee Oklahoma SMU Texas A&M Duke
