So with openings at LSU, Florida, and Penn State, the rumor mill is already churning. Here’s what I’m seeing pop up as early favorites for each spot: LSU Jon Sumrall (Tulane) – feels like the clubhouse leader right now. Joe Brady (Bills OC) – young, flashy, LSU ties, makes some sense. Lane Kiffin – always in the mix when there’s a big SEC job. Florida Lane Kiffin – yep, he’s showing up here too. Eli Drinkwitz (Mizzou) – SEC tested, could be a fit. Jedd Fisch (Washington) – alum, offense-minded, and getting real traction. Penn State Matt Rhule – the favorite, plus ties to PSU. Brian Hartline (Ohio State OC) – recruiting chops, young gun. Will Stein (Oregon OC) – fresh voice, offensive energy. Early days obviously, but that’s the buzz making the rounds. Who do y’all think actually lands where?

No one can be 100 percent certain about the article regarding Sark putting out feelers for NFL job . was Sark asked to comment before the article was published? was Jimmy Sexton asked to comment? . was it a one source leak to hurt Sark & Texas players & recruiting success. kinda feels like it . Everyone makes mistakes. It would be unfortunate but not malicious. Sark was upset about what he called the untrue article & that is was picked up by other news sources without checking with him or his agent. I guess time will tell if it was Clickbait or if it had merit . my opinion favors our coach of the Texas Longhorns. coach Sark . But it’s just my opinion. I’m not 100 percent certain. I’m an old man . to me if it walks like a duck & quacks like a duck. It’s a duck . I am 100 percent certain of that .

Well, no I can talk now. Just as you can talk as well. We have differing opinions. It's fine. But here is the actual reality of Freeman as a head coach so far if you are discussing Freeman vs. Sark ... which I was originally responding to. Marcus Freeman has coached a team to the NC game, in year three as a head coach no less. He is one of the youngest HC's to ever appear in an NC game. He was the 2024 National Coach of the Year. In the head coach discussion of the two, only one has those accomplishments. How will their careers end as head coaches? We shall see. So much more difficult for any of these guys to win NC's with a real playoff headed to 16 teams. As assistant coaches, Sark has been the OC of three NC's. Nick Saban won five national titles at Bama with different offensive coordinators. None have won one as a head coach. Maybe Sark will be the first! The only OC under Nick Saban to go on and win an NC was Jimbo Fisher at FSU. Pete Carroll won NC's with two different OC's at USC. Neither have won NC as a head coach. Maybe Sark will be the first! Will be fun to follow.

How many titles has Sark won as a coach v Freeman? Sark's had problems. Freeman hasn't won anything. Take that to the bank and see what you get.
