  1. Past hour
  2. I am not sure whether we are weighing in on coaches (esp. Traylor) or the AlamoDome. I will speak to each. I gave up my DKR seats after 4X years because of Austin traffic before and after games. I replaced my football fix with UTSA. It is 15 minutes from my house to my seat in the AD. Yes, the PA announcer and the noise volumes are horrific. I never leave a game without a headache. As for Traylor, he is an exceptional coach. Whether he can be an exceptional "ring master' at a major university is unknown.
  3. 100% know Traylor turned it down
  4. 135 out 136 tells you all that you need to know. If you aren’t throwing to your TEs and they aren’t great blockers and you specialize in slow developing down field shots where the defense knows they will have a great chance to get home by blitzing it’s not surprising that the results are subpar.
  5. Oof! Almost three years in and we’re still waiting for the big 12 to “run through lubbock”
  6. Tech. It's unfortunate we now have one very rich donor, from a terrible fanbase, who is willing to throw cash at sports without a seeming end. Going to be a thorn in the sides of us and aggie on top Texas recruits for a while. Always gives me a chuckle when he hypocritically lobbies against the SCORE Act.
  7. So LSU is still trying to cook at the crawfish boil — but have burned down the kitchen in the process!!!
  8. You win today.
  9. Going with fubo free trail basic
  10. Let me know if there are any individual games y'all would like to see. I find this stuff interesting and hope some of yall do as well.
  11. I have been trying to track a number of different formations and presnap movements so far this year for the Texas offense. Wanted to share some of my findings through eight games with you all. **These are not 100% accurate, but as close as I can get them based off of game rewatches and box score reviews** *** Yards Per Play by Formation I wanted to add where each per play average would rank amongst the 136 teams in the country and their per play averages for reference. On the Season: 11 Personnel: 5.51 yards per play ... Would rank 82/136 teams in 2025. 12 Personnel: 6.01 yards per play ... Would rank 46/136 teams in 2025. Against Only Power 4 Teams: 11 Personnel: 5.44 yards per play ... Would rank 83/136 teams in 2025. 12 Personnel: 4.16 yards per play ... Would rank 135/136 teams in 2025. Yards Per Presnap Movement On the Season: Presnap Motion: 6.04 yards per play No Presnap Motion: 5.68 yards per play Against Only Power 4 Teams: Presnap Motion: 5.68 yards per play No Presnap Motion: 4.57 yards per play – The Kentucky game really hurts a lot of these numbers. Texas averaged 1.37 yards per play with no motion against Kentucky. *** For full yards per play numbers and ranks from all teams this year, I strongly encourage you to visit https://bcftoys.com/2025-ypp
  12. I don't know. The DirectTV blackout lasted around 2 weeks I believe. We'll see. Honestly, with YouTubeTV going up to $89/mo, I've been wanting to look around. This is making me finally do it. The Hulu with Disney and ESPN plus is tempting.
  13. Fair point — I get the career ladder logic. Every coach wants to climb from assistant to coordinator to head guy and cash in when the time’s right. But let’s not act like Stillwater is some golden opportunity right now. Boone Pickens isn’t around writing blank checks anymore, and OSU’s wallet suddenly looks a lot thinner when the donor dust settles. If I’m Collin Klein, I’m thinking long and hard before trading stability for a gig where you’ve got to rebuild an offense with duct tape and hope the Powerball hits to fund NIL and facility upgrades. Major might fit there, sure — but only if he’s bringing his own checkbook and a bottle of Tums.

  15. Today
  16. This one feels like an early-kick rock fight. Vanderbilt’s tough enough to make Texas earn it, but let’s be real — they’re walking into a bad matchup. Texas’ defense has started to click again, and when that front seven brings pressure the way they did against OU, it changes everything. On offense, Sark isn’t reinventing the wheel. Whether it’s Arch or Caldwell, the plan stays the same: get the ball out fast, stay balanced, and let the playmakers go to work. It doesn’t have to be flashy — it just has to be efficient. Vandy might hang in for a while, but the depth, the home crowd, and the overall talent gap should start to tilt things Texas’ way by the fourth quarter. This team has been learning how to win the hard way, and that experience pays off in games like this. Texas 28, Vanderbilt 21 — and honestly, why would I pick anyone besides Texas?
  17. What’s a Tech buddy?
  18. even with the dome being near empty last night it was still kinda loud
  19. This is the same s&*t that happened with directv a couple of years ago right before the big 12 championship game. I switched to youtubetv then and have loved how long the recordings last, but the last few months with all the disputes are ridiculous. I’m with everyone else on here stop telling me you’re acting in my best interest and Disney is evil. You’re freaking owned by google. Pay up and you’ll make it up with advertising, but the little guy is getting stretched way too thin all over the place.
  20. I will drink in his honor tomorrow
  21. Time to get an antenna and then a la carte services as needed, I think.
  22. I can confirm that if you have espn+ you will be able to watch the game on the espn app.
