  1. Past hour
  2. Really of the teams left, the only one I can see myself being content with winning is Indiana if just so that it's a new team that won't make it more difficult for Texas to recruit against.
  3. I will be surprised if Alabama doesn’t beat OU this time around. If Carson Beck doesn’t blow it the U has a pretty decent shot to knock of Aggy.
  4. I’m not rooting for OU or A&M. I’m rooting against the joy of everyone involved. Best outcome? They win just enough to annoy Miami and Bama fans, then get absolutely flattened later so nobody’s happy. Failing that, I’m with Team Asteroid.
  5. From Hi to Oops. Excellent decision making.
  6. That is absolute insanity. Maybe he turns out to be an elite level QB, but to pay $3 million to a guy who hasn’t thrown for more than 600 yards and 1 td in a season and has a career rating of 135, that’s a huge gamble. They’re paying this unproven qb double what Colin Simmons and Ant Hill made this year. Surely Baugh won’t accept much less than that now. If he stays, those two players alone are going to drain the NIL coffers. Edit: also can’t speak to the legitimacy of the source. No UF sites are corroborating yet, although they do indicate that UF is targeting him as their primary QB.
  7. It’s easy for me, I have six favorite teams: Texas Longhorns, Houston Astros, whoever plays the Dallas cowgirls, whoever plays against baker mayfield ( currently the Buccaneers), whoever plays 0u, and whoever plays aggy
  8. I’m pulling for the asteroid.
  9. If either played the Martian all stars intent on dominating earth I’d dress up as Marvin the Martian.
  10. I can't root for any of them, Jim.
  11. Today
  12. I believe the committee doesn't give 2 sh1ts about being right or wrong and outside of the Texas fanbase, no one else cares that Texas was omitted. So I want bama and miami to take them to the woodshed.
  13. When I pull for those two, shoot me, I have lost my mind.
  14. Softball should have a great year too.
  15. I want them both to lose and I believe that they will most likely both lose indeed
  16. I subscribe to the belief that nothing good ever comes from A&M and OU having success—EVER. That being said, part of me wants both of them to destroy Miami and Alabama to make the CFP committee’s decision to omit Texas look terrible. We completely dismantled those two teams, so their success makes us look good by comparison. Let them both get to the quarterfinals and then get stomped by IU and OSU.
  17. Don't know the reasoning, but my guess would be that it was not amicably. There were rumors there was some beef with the coach. The reason I say that it was not amicably, is because I remember something to the effect in one of her posts about transferring to Texas, she threw shade saying "transferring to a program where they know how to win championships" - which was right after the season Texas annihilated Nebraska in the championship match. The animosity between Texas and Nebraska in volleyball is about how it is between Texas and ou in football imo. One of the rumors on the volleyball forum on former player Kayla Caffey (who also transferred from Nebraska) is that allegedly Cook accused her of being selfish and not a team player, so when she transferred to Texas, she never had her name put on her jersey and only had Texas to rub it in his face that she was a team player.
  18. We should cancel ND series ASAP, imo. We are doing what is best for Texas...not trying to penalize ND
  19. I may be considered a poor sport but I hope the Sooners and Farmers each lose significantly in the first round of CFP. It's bad enough that they flaunt their CFP appearances to us Horns, but first round wins would hurt. Ags losing to Miami is rough for me because Miami is way up on my "can't stand them" list. Anyone else feel same? Jim
  20. @Jeff Howe got a dig in on CJ Mateer’s man crush during a show yesterday. I laughed.
  21. Did she leave Nebraska amicably? or was there a reason?
  22. not portal related but @CJ Vogel related. Man crush out here killing it 🙂
  23. Bottom line: presenting a clear rationale for why Texas belongs in the playoff is not whining. It’s exactly what Sark has done, and what many respected non-Texas media voices have also articulated over the past couple weeks. Texas, like every program, has a responsibility to evaluate its schedule and résumé on behalf of its players and everyone invested in college football. I support keeping Ohio State and Michigan as home games, but any other out-of-conference games scheduled will need to be reassessed based on what we know about this committee. Additionally, playoff expansion might also influence these decisions. What is difficult to justify is the committee ranking Miami, Notre Dame, and BYU ahead of Texas. Texas owns three current top-15 wins, while those three teams combined have just two. Texas has also defeated two current top-10 teams by double digits; collectively, Miami, Notre Dame, and BYU have zero top-10 wins. By any objective comparison, Texas’s overall body of work is greater than these teams however, it appears the committee prioritized the number of losses and relied on ambiguous concepts like the "eye test." Of course, a team looks impressive on film when they effectively execute all their plays against opponents like Syracuse, Navy, and Stanford.
  24. think there will be any interest the second time around?
  25. This one hurts because she's finally healthy but the emergence of the freshman limited her playing time. When she transferred in, coach said she had the potential to be the next franchise player. This was also prior to Stafford joining the team as well, so logjam at the position along with the #1 recruiting coming in next year.
