Thoughts on the Texas offense tonight
Lavalulu replied to Gerry Hamilton's topic in On Texas Football Forum
This came up during the Texas v Kentucky game today. Does anyone else think Sark is not as focused/obsessed on Texas football this year …maybe because of his family situation (being a new dad again, complications with the pregnancy and birth, etc, )??? not trying to make excuses for him, but we’re trying to figure out why this keeps happening to our offense?? (also…I really miss Coach Choice) -

Mike Norvell just got fired too. -
Nor should he! Let’s be honest and please stop all this QB change BS. This kid may not have played well tonight from a statistical perspective, but he didn’t turn the ball over and really didn’t put the ball in harm’s way even with all that pressure. All night long…AGAIN. That alone gave us a chance to at least make UK beat us straight up, which in the end they couldn’t do. I’m not sure another QB in the country would fare a whole lot better given what Arch has in an o line in front of him. That said he was off tonight and missed some easy throws to Wingo and Endries that would have extended drives and or put us in a position to score. That can get better, but only if Ardh is out there and continues to prove to everyone just how strong and tough he is. Look at that kid at the end of the game his arms and neck and tell me he doesn’t give you the best chance to win right now at Texas!!!

The beginning of the end of Sark

The mods here have been critical of things. Come on. Hashtag was banned for personal attacks on current players and celebrating that they got injured. -
Agree!! That dude was beat UP tonight and still battled all the way through and thankfully we were able to come out with the win. It’s a roller coaster but it is for everyone right now. This is a week to week league. Arkansas took the Aggies to within 3 tonight and scored 42 points. All we can do is keep working and getting better and focus on winning the games in front of us any way we can.

Hashtag got banned because he’s not a sunshine pumper like the mods on here. It’s gotten really bad. -

Take this nonsense back to OB. It's one of the reasons a bunch of us left. -

Anyone who puts this on anyone but Sark is wrong, one of the worst rush defenses in the SEC was ready for every running play we ran. We made that DC look like a genius. They knew exactly what was coming all night. Arch is literally getting killed and Sark moved completely away from what worked last week. I am sorry but the offense and their performance is 100% on Sark and he needs to get WAY better. How many of us are calling out what play we are running before the snap, I bet it is a lot. If we are in the red zone, especially 10 yard line, it is very easy to read what we are doing. PK is going to have to carry us this entire year because Sark isn’t evolving and is regressing. Fortunately, PK is one of the best coaches in America. -

I still love Arch and I'm rooting for him. But I feel like Sark and Co. have focused so much on protecting Arch from the outside noise/pressure, instead of urging him to become the leader of this offense. He's the starting QB at The University of Texas. We need him to start acting like it. -

Severe overreaction, But it’s typical of people on here. I do think some mass changes in philosophy need to be made on offense. For one STOP being complacent on not chasing portal offensive lineman IF they are good enough to start here. -
