  1. Past hour
  2. I read thread on TexAgs last week where they were embarrassed by the Yell Leaders, Corps etc. Some of them seem to be aware of how cringeworthy this is to everyone outside the cult. They're a national laughingstock
  3. There was something to that last night. It felt like Sark's calls were geared toward helping Arch improve in areas where he's struggled in the past. Still, as I've said in other posts, Sark can only do so much when Arch isn't hitting open receivers.
  4. Bobby said it best on Coffee & Football recently: Arch isn't a great quarterback, but he's a good football player.
  5. The offensive playbook is too complex and Sark is trying to make Arch something he’s not.
  6. It's a concern that Arch's performance was bad enough to make you question anything and everything about his development. I agree that he will get better. I'm just disappointed that I thought performances this bad were a thing of the past.
  7. I was actually just texting my buddy about this. If you can bet on this, feels like free money
  8. Is Johnny still on the Colombian snow? Just a general question
  9. I think Arch is the equivalent of a streaky shooter in basketball, when he’s on he looks amazing but when hits a cold streak it if awful. Any thoughts of conference championship or playoff run are going to be on if he can be consistent. Also the Oline did not look good, not sure how things looked on TV but in person it looked bad.
  10. Is Zina U a legit pass rusher opposite Simmons? I was sporadic watching the game, but our front 4 were active from what I saw. If that’s who they become, that is the single biggest takeaway from the game - good or bad.
  11. USC vs Oregon is going to be interesting only because I can’t tell which team is more Fraudulent rn
  12. I like it, I think people forget Tennessee is a pretty big brand too. Games like this is why the SEC wanted Texas in their league
  13. Blame it on the early substitutions. When you start rotating players that early, it takes away from the feel and rhythm the offense needs to establish. It also sends a message that this is more of a scrimmage than a game that demands urgency. Honestly, I almost went 37–14 because I expected Texas to use this game to build depth and get the starters off the field early. And there was a positive to it offensively: Arch got to play with at least seven different receivers, and at times he was doing it without his top three targets. That kind of experience could pay dividends later in the season. But let’s be honest—the story of this game was the defense. Despite all the substitutions, this defense continued to lock down the passing game. They kept rotating guys in and out and still maintained the same level of physicality and discipline. Outside of Jeremiah Smith for about 2½ quarters, this defense has been a NO-FLY ZONE. And that might be the biggest takeaway from this game.
  14. Here are my counter intuitive takes. Vegas counting on the emotional let down following Ole Miss slaying the dragon combined with the running game of Florida. Will be weird game, Florida gave up 39 to Auburn so the logic would be take the over, but I bet it is an under game. Georgia will put 40 on the dirt burglars. Michgan Iowa 55 points combined. Iowa wins. Horns win but dont cover. USC beats Oregon outright 10-7
  15. Vegas won last night can’t even lie, a lot of top 25 teams weren’t even close to covering yesterday. Texas was sloppy but so were a good chunk of teams yesterday
