  1. Past hour
  2. we still don't know who is in the portal until wed from the non championship game teams. lets see what happens.
  3. What is he supposed to say— yeah I’m about to play in the championship but I really want to go back to Texas for my senior season? No athlete has ever in the history of sports asserted their commitment to a team only to leave days later. Not saying he does end up at Texas, but I’m not putting any stock in quotes like that—especially when Bobby’s been hinting there might be interest there. As for your second statement, I guess we will have to see.
  4. fwiw, Houston Chron has a quote from Lynch saying he's coming back to Indiana next year. I think it's generous to assume the staff has a plan at iOL...
  5. Brown and Smothers are a clear upgrade over the players who left. They force defenses to account for them on every snap and can turn ordinary plays into real damage, something the departing group simply did not provide.
  6. Still feels crazy to me that Coleman is a longhorn!!!
  7. I hope Sark & Co are trying to "with this out" until after the CFP game tonight and for the 5 days following when players from these last two teams are eligible to enter the portal.
  8. I want Indiana to win. Gonna be hard for them to recreate the magic IMO. But Miami is a program I don’t want to get hot. Might slam the door shut on some of our Florida recruiting.
  9. Texas has materially raised the ceiling of its top players, but the offensive line still needs reinforcement. The only true unknown remains left guard, and overall depth is still thin. Kyle Flood still has work to do.
  10. Today
  11. These are the types of DBs that get me excited in a Muschamp defense.
  12. His elite speed really showed on the last highlight.
  13. Call me crazy but I’m hedging my happiness in this national championship game. I absolutely do not want Miami to win, so I’m putting $100 on them to win. If they do end up winning at least I got something out of it, but I’d rather lose $100 and Indiana take it home!
  14. Yall ever put DragonForce on the radio at work just to watch peoples reaction? I just did. I got fired. But it was worth it.
  15. What I think happened is that there are conversations happening behind the scenes with Lynch’s agent and they expect him to be their guy. But they don’t want to get burned again like before, so they planned to bring Church in for a visit to keep on the back burner in case Lynch doesn’t enter. But they didn’t expect church to commit to Tech so soon. If Lynch falls through, I think they bring in 1-2 experienced grad transfers to compete.
  16. New portal thread! New lease on life.
  17. IMO, there's been more nutty sh*t from UT fans on the internet over the last couple of months than ever before.
  18. Just get an OG. Please. Pretty please.
  19. Also, remind me to never eat the Rams chili.
  20. I think CJ Stroud did though.
  21. I'll bet they didn't put in in their jocks!
  22. I think as the floor we get the Texas St kid Lockette. Texas has some irons in the fire is the read. Bray Lynch imo seems obvious at this point as one of the options.
  23. Wonder if there’s any friction between the head coaches and Athletic Directors or University Administrators due to these rules. Maybe some coaches think not enough is being done at the top to push for change.
  24. This must be what it felt like when scholarship limits first came into college football. You have to get used to not having that safety blanket of depth you enjoyed before. It sucks. Looking around at the other ‘haves’, several teams took it in the shorts more than us, though (Alabama, Ole Miss…).
  25. 1000 reasons to like Indiana and zero to like Miami, starting w/ Beck v Mendoza. I hate that Indiana is gonna probably win a NC, but its 1000 x better than Miami winning anything.... 🤘
  26. I remember that ugly loss in the 1991 Cotton Bowl and can’t have Miami winning #6 before Texas hopefully wins #5 so give me Indiana all day. I do think this could be a repeat of the 1984 Orange Bowl for Miami when they upset Nebraska or like the 2008 Super Bowl between the Giants and Patriots where the Giants’ lines of scrimmage win this game almost completely by themselves. Should be a great game and not a blowout regardless of who wins it imo
