Tolerance for college football woes is waning
Tim Longoria replied to Junior's topic in On Texas Football Forum
I find it ironic that some here are calling the players mercenaries and complaining how "nobody wants to develop anymore" but are also complaining about us not getting enough Olinemen in the portal and gnashing their teeth about the prospect of *gasps* developing a left guard -

The joy for me was watching hs kids grow into young men developing and playing with passion and love for the sport. Its getting more and more like the pros where everything is about money and getting paid. They dont care about team or the fans and alum that pour money into the program so that they have the best eqipment, coaches, facilities to become their best. Absolutely agree that things def need to change or fans both rabid and general are gonna bail. I dont blame them one bit. At least theres still hs sports until they get corrupted as well. -

I agree with you. I love college football, but some of this stuff is getting completely out of hand! -

There is NOTHING like CFB Saturdays that start with College Gameday. Every Saturday during the season is so special. The transfer portal, along with new advertising decisions will not deter me from watching. The pageantry is simply unmatched. Hook ‘Em! -
He has been spectacular this season. The ultimate example of "doing whatever it takes to stay in the league" type of guy.

As a freshman at Oregon, he had 74 tackles and 4 interceptions. Then switched to WR and kinda disappeared at Oregon then transferred to Texas playing WR year 1 then DB. Don’t know the story but seems he wanted to play WR when likely better served as a DB. -

Yes, from Oregon. His brother went from Arizona to Tech, if I recall correctly. So somewhat of a football family. -

Put me in the camp that never really watched UFC before because of the steep PPV price tag. Now that it’s included with Paramount+ I’m all in!

He came from Oregon to Texas. Ran a 4.3 at his pro day. Impressive. He grew up in Dana Point, which is a gorgeous town on the ocean. -

I'm a big fan of how lambchops taste coming off the pit. I've recently smoked and braised some oxtails on the pit till they were tender. 🤘🏿 edit: I also like to smoke salmon on the pit.

I am 68 and remember watching the very first Super Bowl. However, I rarely watch the NBA or MLB. Interestingly, about 8 years ago, I got into women's basketball. I love it. Especially my Longhorn girls. But I love the WNBA too. I go to a few Valkyries games in San Francisco. I follow all of the girls on IG, and our recruits, and have had a few conversations with a few of them. They are always appreciative of the fan support. One of the player's dads is really cool and we message each other before the games. -

He played WR and DB for two major colleges. He is the type of “athlete” the fans want. Nothing is a guarantee however. Its great to see all the Longhorns participating. -

Bacon Explosion is always a SB hit over here. Fun, yet easy to make! My wife likes to make wonton tacos, and jalapeno wonton wrappers. You mentioned you wanted something with a Cajun flair, instead of doing a traditional buffalo chicken dip, do a Cajun style chicken dip or Cajun biscuit bombs -
...who would have predicted he would make his name on Special Teams. He already has two tackles in the game. Denver is full of Longhorns.

One of my favorite restaurants is Ribs of Vienna in Austria. I am not suggesting a DoorDash, rather they do ribs but with rubs/flavorings like you would cook wings. They marinate for three days prior to cooking. Makes for some different takes on ribs. -

I like to do mixed fajitas. I usually make beef, chicken, shrimp, sausage, and steak (sliced for fajitas). Then everything else ties in, home made refried beans, home made pico de gallo, your cheese dip, fresh guacamole, sour cream, etc. -
Im doing some carne asada tacos, spicy chicken fajitas and some pigs in a blanket with jalapeño sausage my gf also makes some really good strawberry lemonade
