  1. Past hour
  2. BTW, a lot of the lineup talk will be if Texas hold Matas and Lassina out of the Duke game. I would say it's 50-50 as of today. Matas' ankle still has enough swelling that they may have to make a season is most important vs. one game decision. Lassina the same. Want him to be 110% when he returns to the court.
  3. Nope. Texas is pleased with him
  4. How embarrassing that a governor is spending his time on this stuff.
  5. What head coach would want to go to a program that now has an AD who can’t be the AD and a helicopter governor hovering over the team?
  6. Nothing unusual about that contract for a coach of that pedigree wait to you guys see the next round of contracts the reality is that when a coach is fired, everyone associated looks like an imbecile for not predicting that such coach would work out. coach decisions are judged by outcomes, not the info available at the time
  7. If contracts were crawfish boils, Woodward served up a cold cornydog with mayo and rasins
  8. Only in Louisiana could a governor stroll into a press conference and drop a live grenade on his state’s flagship football program. Jeff Landry didn’t just criticize Brian Kelly’s contract — he called it “terrible.” Then he went for the encore: announcing that AD Scott Woodward won’t be hiring the next coach, and for good measure tossing in that he’d rather have Donald Trump running the search than Woodward. That’s not just throwing someone under the bus; that’s backing over them twice and revving the engine. Forget the X’s and O’s for a second. The bigger question here is how in the world Woodward keeps his job after being humiliated by the governor on live mic. Athletic directors are supposed to be power brokers, not political punching bags. When the governor of your state says out loud he doesn’t trust you to pick a coach, your credibility just went up in smoke faster than a Mike the Tiger pregame fireworks show. So now LSU has a coach with a “terrible” contract, an AD who’s been neutered by the governor, and a political sideshow that makes the SEC Network look tame. Baton Rouge doesn’t need a coaching search right now — it needs a fire extinguisher.

  12. Boy..... that second lineup's shooting gives me major concern.
  13. Jerry says the coaches really like Cruz, another year in weight room and he will ready to compete for starting position. Get 2 guards from the portal !!
  14. Swain has to guard Boozer a lot IMO They have so much length on the perimeter with skill … Mark Weaver Heide Swain Matas or Lassina … may be that game …. But think you have to build a rotation long term vs one game That starting lineup may be Mark Weaver Swain Codie Center
  15. Bobby needs some @RogueShop for some of these coffee and football podcasts.

  22. I decided to go watch an OU game in Norman this past weekend. I had never been to their stadium. The stadium is completely enclosed and was very loud. They have their Heisman trophy winters and the Selmon Brothers statues outside the stadium. They also have a player walk-in which is a poor man's version of our Bevo Boulevard. Went to one of their most famous tailgates which was very well done. The tailgate consisted of a house that a friend of mine bought just for that purpose that is within walking distance of the stadium. In the back they had a place for a band to play live music, sitting area with TV screens to watch pregame and post-game, a bar and lots of food and drinks. They also have a vehicle they call the Schooner that will drive you and drop you off at the stadium though with close enough to walk. The stadium seats were so close together that the game was uncomfortable to watch at times despite having premium seats on the 50-yard line. My biggest complaint of the stadium was very loud pipe and music and advertising virtually the entire game, so loud you could barely hear the person sitting next to you between plays. Also, so loud that you could not hear the band at all. Was a somewhat rainy day and cantankerous crowd at times because they lost pretty handily to Ole Miss. I do not plan to ever go back though I am glad I got to see how the other side lives.
  23. If he doesn’t take Fla or LSU he won’t take OU.
