  2. Hopefully, the wind will be blowing out the next few days and UGA can keep Skip and OU out of contention.
  3. Texas had chances to extend its season in Tuesday’s College World Series elimination game against Georgia. Unfortunately, the Longhorns went 0-for-8 with runners on base and 0-for-5 with runners in scoring position in a 2-0 loss to the Bulldogs, making for a disappointing end to the team’s first trip to Omaha under Jim Schlossnagle. Texas (46-15) ends the 2026 season three wins shy of the national championship series, which the program hasn’t reached since 2009. While the offense struggled, failing to record an extra-base hit and recording 12 strikeouts against Georgia’s (53-13) pitching staff on Monday, Luke Harrison and Sam Cozart kept the Longhorns in the game. In his last appearance for the program, Harrison became the first Texas pitcher since Brooks Kieschnick in 1993 to strike out 11 batters in a College World Series game, holding one of the nation’s top offenses to two hits and one run in 5.2 innings. Cozart suffered some hard luck in his College World Series debut, including Dariyan Pendergrass’ overturned diving catch in shallow center for the first out of the seventh inning, which was immediately followed by third baseman Tre Phelps’ single through the right side, which the infield shift to set the table for the Bulldogs’ second run. Still, the freshman scattered three hits and struck out six Georgia batters in 3.1 innings out of the bullpen, including a strikeout with the bases loaded in the top of the sixth. 5. Need at least one of the big three to bring it home in 2026-27. Even just being one of the final two teams standing would be nice. It's been so long.
  6. Finished in the top 6. 2nd in SEC. Sure we wanted more but losing that first game makes it nearly impossible to win it all. Georgia had our# period. Hats off to them as much as I wanna finally beat them on the big stage FB or BB. But yes very disappointed because their pitching staff is not that good. But they have us scouted well, and know what we can't hit. Still a fun year and now fb 24/ 7 almost here🤟
  7. Texas going to have some really good players coming back and to build around. To name a few pitchers who will be back Volantis Cozart Walls Crossland Winter In the Field A Rod Pack Healthy Jonah Could be a few others who come back plus freshman and transfers. Looking forward to next year with some elite talent coming back
  8. Georgia went almost two games without using their bullpen. Pitching is more than okay. Texas scored one run.

  15. Well sh*t, sometimes the baseball gods just don’t smile on you.
  16. Well good season, came to a disappointing end. Hope they hit the portal hard and upgrade. Maybe some coaching changes? Who knows. Just a very uninspiring game and finish to your season.
  17. It's alright. Steve and Sean got me in 2026-27.
  18. This wasn't just a Georgia problem, the offense disappeared several times this season. Will be interesting to see what happens this offseason.
  19. season done now go to the portal and pay out the arse for hitters. other than pack and rodriguez the lineup next year will be worse
  20. When 6-9 in your lineup consists of those 4 players, you’re in trouble. Have to do a lot of work in the portal.
  21. 2 runs in 2 losses in Omaha is embarrassing and unacceptable. Great season, but they gotta figure that out. Lights were way too big for our best players.
